I don't think enough black hatters think about the importance of conversion. I'm a designer and coder, so my sites are insanely dope and people do what I tell them to on my site via subtle design hints - and some not so subtle! So instead of getting a ton more traffic, quit using the same wordpress theme everyone else does like a little sad fish and start thinking about how to visually guide the user to clicking your adsense ads, or affiliate offer, or whatever. Yep, you'll need to code a site. Start with a sketch on paper, an idea, and build from there.

I've consulted with people before that "don't understand why no one is clicking?" It's because your design is garbage and instills no trust or credibility. So, lots of traffic is great, but focus on a design with a great call to action.

Agreed. Design is very important. You gotta learn to trick people into looking at your ads. You design the website to compliment the ad itself.

I'm amazed at how many people use simple themes that I'm sure have been around for longgggg - suprising thing is that they must work for some people.
