Dear BHW members,

i started a website a few months back with the idea of selling it once it can get me a good enough amount of money to start ppc, i've never done ppc before so take into consideration that i would have to spend some money in the learning process first. The website is http://www.chances4.me/
and it's a scholarship website, most visitors per day was 2k+ and the average i would say is 500 daily maybe. I also have a facebook page for the website with close to 25k likes.

So my question is basically this, do you think i should sell the website now and get into ppc, or do you think that the website can be more profitable and i should stick with it ?

What's the profit? If you haven't earnings solutions on this site how do you know if the right decision is sell or not?

Try to metize it, make a statistic forecast and see if you make more from selling this site or from earning from it.

Well the most ive earned from the site in one day is 2 euros+ but i'm not an expert in monetizing websites.

In this case my advice is to study here in BHW the best methods to monetize your site (affiliate marketing is the best in my opinion).
After that you can take a decision, now it's impossible to take the right one.

The best bet for you right now is to monetize your website to the best extent possible, then spare some money to try out PPC. Starting out in PPC can be a nightmare and you can lose your cash pretty fast and then you will have nowhere to go. I have been doing paid traffic from a long time and it is very tough in the beginning to take off.

So stick with monetizing your website for now as it is the best thing for you currently!

Website seems good to me. I think you could sell but I think this can be profitable. Why you don't try affiliate marketing on this website? Like giving amazon reviews for students about produtcts or something like ebooks for student, building list etc I think you can monetize finding your own way or if you don't have time just sell it.

Thanks guys for the advice, i'll look into affiliate marketing some more and c if its more profitable.

Thanks everyone for the advice :)

Why you need opther options if you have not tried the first? I think you need to do experience in this world of IM, so please try the affiliate marketing and after come here and talk about your experience.

There isn't easy way to do thing, there is only the right way.

your website design doesn't give any trust to do a business with you.
You can do SEO very well but conversion may not be high so if you want to earn just make the website in a friendly design and start seo after maximum 6 month get the results :)

If you're making 2 Euros per day on 500 visits, something is seriously wrong. That's a .004 ctr/cvr. If you sell now, and somehow get 24x earnings, you're looking at something like ?1440 before fees and taxes. That is not a lot of money to start PPC. Instead, you can optimize your monetization and increase your daily earnings so that your exit is much more valuable and worth it.

If you're sticking with adsense, you can experiment with different ad sizes, ad locations, text vs image, etc. You need to find the sweet spot that generates the most amount of clicks consistently.

You can also try to replace adsense with new offers that better suit your visitors. Online university offers come to mind. There are plenty of options for your demographic.

I'd suggest making these changes ASAP, as you are right in the middle of the "busy" season for Scholarships. Right now is when you make bank.

Actually, i did look into it but the problem is most people who visit the website are from developing countries and not rich so they are not likely to purchase anything online. That's why i don't it would work well with affiliate marketing.

I did think about this and i think i'm gonna start searching for other designs, thanks.

Actually my ctr/cvr is even less then that and i don't know what the deal is, but this week i switched "only text ads" to both texts and images and it slighlty increased both my ctr and my cpc. But i'll definetly look into the design i think its a bit off.
