Continue this or quit?

Nice, I just tried posting it to this wall but it kept giving me a broken . But I like it, one of my failed business was a furniture store. haha

The only thing that i can't do in 3D are human faces. Don't know why..but this is it. in rest i can handle it.

wow, nice...
I really think that a good start for you would be to build up a portfolio of some of the work you have done, and make some money through freelancing sites.

I suggest this because its using a skillset that you already have (and are good at), it will take some of the financial preassure off you as you;ll be earning some money online and finnally it will give you the morale boost that you seem to need.

This will help give you the drive to keep going at IM, I seriously wouldnt give up... youve gone further than most people have, youve at least tried some different methods. Not just read through them, thought that they would work, saved them in a file to be forgotten and gone and read another one.

Believe it or not youve just taken your first step to success, you tried and you failed... now you've learned. Keep trying and success will come.

If you?re positive in what you do, eventually you will succeed.
If you?re negative in what you do, you will always fail.

To me you sound like a very negative person.

I suggest you learn more until you feel confident in whatever you want to do.

Make a step by step business plan and take each step gradually.
Blackhat SEO might sound like an easy way to earn money, but in many circumstances you will actually be worse off.

Here?s an idea for you: You say you?re good with 3D design, so make a website that offers your services. Use your seo knowledge to promote the site and concentrate on keeping your clients happy.

You have made $30 in your first 8 month, think of this as a positive and expand on however you made that money.

Another thing, Learn SEO before learning blackhat seo. There are many good SEO forum out there that you can learn from and only use black hat seo when you know the full effects of whatever your doing.

The best thing I can say to you is to learn about Google authority and Google trust. Your 5 autoblogs does not have enought authority or trust. They are 3 months old and will not earn you money at the moment because your sites are to new.

I am negative(because i've always failed), but not so negative :)
I think i'll bring up a website to offer my services, but first i have to learn more about SEO bacause now i think i am at middle level.

I'm also in a similar situation as the OP, although contrary to you I have a family to feed and can't currently get a job due to a disability I now have, I'm also from a European country that is in a critical financial situation.

What I'm currently trying to do isn't making any money at the moment, but I now know that in my situation it is merely because I'm not very good at technical stuff, I have found that I'm good with social networks and driving youtube traffic, but when it comes to having a website where people are willing to complete a survey to get to my content, I just fail in that aspect, but I've come to understand that this is something that I can fix, with some research and knowledge that I need to learn about my niches.

I see it like this, this is only my personal opinion, I'm not in anyway a experience marketer, quite on the contrary, my word shouldn't count much, but I'll say this anyway, the Internet Market is a mirror of the offline markets, with this I mean that any business you can ever work with as either a publisher, comissionist, freelancer, etc, there is always many other people doing it (you most certainly are not planning to launch the next Facebook or Youtube), you just want to "work" or have your own "business", there are always both advantages and disadvantages in whatever you do in life, you can be one of those persons that prefers to have a 9-5 job to be safe or someone who likes to make a head jump and risk everything to open his own cyber restaurant or paintbal shop, but nothing in life can be completely controlled, I was one of those persons who played it safe and choose to be safe, go everyday to work, until one day, there was an accident with a heavy lifter in the warehouse where I worked, it left a pallet fell above me, I got "lucky" and it only shattered my left leg, I have already been submitted to 8 surgeries, and I'll still need a couple more to fully reconstruct my bone, I will never walk normally again, I'm currently waiting for a pension that my goverment will pay, but at this point I still have to wait a couple more months before the paperwork is ready, so you must imagine my situation at this very moment, I have a wife that is working overtime and I have kids that need to be fed and need her father and her mother to be with a constant happy face although sometimes it just doesn't feel like waking up the next day, I always "knew" the internet business world but never paid much attention to it, only recently after my disability I considered as an option to make some money, and then, due to unforseen circumstances it is my my only hope to pay the bills at the end of this month, I have literally started from nothing, roughly 3 weeks ago, I have been working here more than 16 hours a day, and at this moment I have made $55, I can look at it from many perspectives, I can say that when I worked 9-5, the amount of time I invested in here would already made me over $500, I can look at it and say that I'm making some money while learning something at the same time, but no matter how I "choose" to look at it, there is a big difference from my own personal perspective and the obvious raw truth, truth is unchanged, unbound of human interpretation, and there are several truths that I can take from this, first is that $55 will never pay for my living expenses, second is that, as I've said before, nothing in life is certain, and third is that, there is money to be made on the internet, it is at the same time, extremely hard and very accessible to everyone, the point that I was trying to make on the beginning of my post is easily understood by the following example, it doesn't matter how many restaurants you have in a shopping mall, eventually every single one of them will have customers, obviously there are some restaurants, that will have much more customers than others, but is the endurance and patient of the smaller ones that will eventually lead them to make a consistent profit from their services, this in my opinion is a great analogy to the internet business, it doesn't matter how many movie sites there are, how many ewhorers are out there, eventually, if they keep at it, improve what they're successes and fix their failures, they can make a decent income out of their work.

In my situation I have learned that I probably will have to borrow money at the end of this month to pay my bills, but I also know that if I keep improving what I'm doing, in about a month or two I can be making a constant $50 a day from my work.

The facts are these, there is probably over 1 trillion dollars that is exchanged in a daily basis on the internet alone.

Obviously a great share of this money is being traded in foreign exchange markets, but a considerable percentage of this money is being exchanged in online casions, freelancing sites, CPA offers, PPC programs, Affiliate Sites, etc, etc, we're talking about Billions of dollars everyday that gets transfered on the internet, so it is unquestionable that there is money here, and like in everything else, you just need to figure out where the money is, and work on there, take also this for a fact, every single person currently making thousands of dollars a day on the internet was at some point in their life as unexperienced as we currently are, so keep this in mind.

My sincere votes that both me and you shortly begin succeeding online.

I need to have some rest now, I haven't slept in 3 days.

Hope my little write-up helped cleared your mind.

Don't feel bad, I've been doing IM on and off for almost 3 years and have only made a few hundred dollars. Sometimes I feel like a complete failure and just want to give up, but if I can make a few hundred dollars online I know I can make any amount. Plus, I've spent THREE YEARS learning skills and have spent many, many hours on "projects" and other ideas. I'm NOT going to let this go to waste. I'm going to turn this all around and rape Google and the internet for all its worth!!!

Benjamin Franklin said it best: "By diligence and patience the mouse ate in two the cable."

Dude, a year ago I thought in the same directions as you. But, I luckily managed to break the ice and found a goldmine which I'm still profiting from. So, my advice to you is to hold on and be strong. One day you will achieve your goals, all the work you are doing at the moment is process.

This video might cheer you up:

Great messages guys. I've felt like in a family here. Even though I don't write much (I don't see myself as BH expert) I read you all. Thank you everbody who takes time to share something... anything at all...

Jokerash, I live in Romania too, Timisoara.

Send me via PM you YM and we will talk further.

And keep trying! Stick to one method!

i don't have a full time job. I'm a student now at "automatics and computers"
My first web stuff...i think 5-6 years ago (also a html page)

If you are a student, then don't be too worried about IM now. I think you are putting too much emphasize on making money, but now about how you are getting that money. Just because the final tally in your CPA account isn't that high, it doesn't mean you failed. It simply means that you went through a large learning process.

If I was in your situation. I would go through this thread here : http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...dpress-automated-100-day-sites-5-minutes.html

YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY YET

Read through it, learn about the ins and outs of the TV/Movie niche. It is competitive, but I think it is one of the easiest things out there to do atm. After reading through that thread, go away and create a site manually. Add a couple of movies etc. Then you can even read that thread through for Traffic/SEO/Design/Plugin tips to get you going.

Once again however, this won't being you money instantly. Almost everything on here takes time. Hell most CPA companies are net 30 anyway.

Now notice how I linked to a BST thread and yet you could just get info. You can do this all the time. Some of the best money making tips aren't actually in the money maker section. They are off in remote parts of the forum that you never actually thought of. You can go to the "Youtube" section, and learn tricks about videos and getting clickthroughs. That then apply to a whole range of other topics. All I'm saying is, don't JUST sit on the money making section, because you will be sitting there with 1000 other people.

I would NOT recommend Freelancing unless you are prepared to do ridiculous amounts of work for little pay + get scammed along the way. Freelancing is a large black hole. I could charge minimum wage for my work (C# development), and people here would still say that is too much. People may lead you down the rabbit hole by saying you need a portfolio and a whole bunch of other crap, but it seriously doesn't work like that. If a company is serious about getting a tool developed, they don't go to places like get-a-freelancer or rentacoder I can assure you.

You should learn a programming language, like PHP, over the last few weeks I have taught myself how to program in both VB and PHP and am now pretty decent at it (I am making functional applications), actually a lot of the reason that building apps is so time consuming / hard, is from building out the user interfaces, etc so if you can just learn to program you can just skip that part and make a simple php input file and it saves a lot of time so you can get quite a bit accomplished... If you learn PHP and also MySQL... you now have a solid skill set and can possibly at some point even get work that isn't related to blackhat by using these skills.. I am planning to now finish an IT degree so I will have a backup plan because once I got started in learning programming I found it to be not as hard as I had previously expected... I think the same would be true for most people, you just have to be willing to push through the initial confusion and you will get to a point where you "get it"

I also used to do graphic design, 3D also ( i used 3ds max and even learned some houdini) but I realized that that industry is just a waste of time mostly unless you want to devote your life to it and work for a game / movie company, its pretty hard to work as a freelancer doing that kind of work and I personally get much more satisfaction just programming my own apps now than I ever did with that

Nice work bro! You might consider putting your efforts into logos and graphics because you obviously have the skills. I realize the skill set is somewhat different, but with some effort you should be able to make the move. Make a banner that advertises your services and put it in your sig here an other IM forums. Offer a few gigs for free to get the word out and you're in business.

-SDT

Here is an example of my work. i've just finished this project for my friend 20min. earlier ) http://yfrog.com/1793504405j

Here is a real good idea, why dont you make a website giving away "stock" 3D models to anyone who needs to use them for whatever application?

This way you can maybe get some traffic going by providing good content AND you can further build your 3d skills and maybe get a job too if you show companies what you have created.

I agree, maybe IM is not for you. Not that you should give up, but you may be holding back your true talents.

I took a new approach in February with zero experience in the my new area and it has payed off very well thus far. My IM income is matching my 9-5 income. I have learned a lot as I go.

CPA works for some people but too often I see people get into it becuase they don't know any better. I'm not sure if this is you or not but maybe you should backup, read some threads, find a new interest, and then go after it.

Someone on here has the quote about people quitting before they are successful. I can not recall it word for word but it is 100% true.

Also, how many hours are you spending on here?

You joined in September 2009, you have 16 post and only thanked 1 person. You've been thanked 0 times. Those numbers make me think that you have not put into it what the rest of us would consider a lot of time.

I agree with everything you said CoyoteAssassin but the one thing you can't teach is motivation and drive. OP, did you ever think of starting a design site and maybe just get your name out by doing small avatars for members. To continue or quit, that answer has to come from you finally OP. Don't put a time frame cause it will increase the pressure and make it unreasonable to accomplish anything. Work a regular job, do this on the side or take a break from it as maybe your burned out. I wish you the best!

My IM journey (8 months) was a total failure.
I've tried CPA ... didn't woked. I've made 30$ doing this.

Acrticle writing is not for me. The main reson is that english is not my first language (i'm from Romania).

I've made 5 autoblogs. 0 earnings in 3 months.
SiteFlipping --- the only thing i know is wordpress. i suck at PHP.
Hiring a menthor for 90% of my eventual earnings -- didn't find one.

I've lost my hope and i've tried online poker and casinos.--total failure.
The only thing that i am good at is 3D design-- didn't find a job.

I know i'll receive answers like this:"read more" ,"nobody is goind to spoonfeed you". "bet your 30$ on red"...and the list continues.

I really need a piece of advice. Thanks.

I think you should try on the field that you are so much interested.
That can make you success.
So you can continue with 3D design.
Take time you will get a job.

Honestly, without learning the marketable skills it's going to be far more difficult. I came into this online business with some skills, luckily. I can write well, I know my way around computers. Aka, if I don't know how to do something I can find where to learn how and then learn it.

The main issue is time and dedication. My problem is confidence. I am afraid that if I spend a few days making less while learning something, the world will come to an end. I've also worked a lot at writing.

I started in March of this year, and I'm making only about a dollar a day in passive revenue, but I'm up to $40.00 per day non-passive. The numbers need to switch, and I do this pretty much all the time lately. It's fun, and I'm really trying to establish something here to give myself an option in life that isn't working for other people and isn't doing something that makes me want to stab people.

So yeah I can't offer much advice except to take the time to improve on some things. Your English isn't that bad. I hate learning other languages so I can't blame you if you don't want to try writing-related stuff. But improving computer skills and language skills will only work to your advantage if you plan to pursue this long-term.

I'm mostly Whitehat, but I love these forums as the people who work the system know it best. If you keep reading and trying you should be able to work something out. Clickbank and twitter might work, or I heard about some AmazonTurk thing.

Why do people fail?

The main reason why people can't make money is not because the methods are outdated or rehashed etc. The reason is, most people are not aware of the principles of marketing. If you're lacking of that knowledge, no matter how hard you try or no matter how many methods you apply, you'll most likely fail because you're not putting your own twist to it.

What do i mean by twist? Every single product or service no matter what it is whether a software or a cpa offer, needs to be marketed properly so that people can be convinced that "they really need it". This is it, pretty much dead simple. You have to come up with something that it will help convincing people. Now, if you need their dedication (i'll get back to this in a bit) then things will get harder for your promotional efforts because your conversion rate will be very low.

Commitment aka Dedication

So what do i mean by dedication? This is the base of any relationship between two people. The more positive interaction occurs, the deeper will the dedication be. I know it sounds complicated so let me give you an example with chicks : When you first meet with a girl, you keep wondering what you can and can't do with her. You will wonder what you can get away with, what you can't. The more time you spend together, the more tolerance she will have as long as your interaction with her is positive. In other words, if she likes you she'll put up with your shit. When time passes, you will have shared and been through a lot of shit, so you will have more value in each other's eyes. It will be harder for both you and her to detach from each other because of the memories and experiences you have together. We can re word dedication as commitment also.

This is all the same in marketing. When people advice you to build a list, the main reason behind this is, you will have a chance to communicate and build memories with them. Now you don't hold hands together of course, but every interaction counts and creates a memory in our subconscious. The more they commit, the better it is. Starting from signing up to your opt in list to filling out cpa offers for you or buying the ebook you recommend.

Of course you can't build this relationship instantly, so you have to give something back to get more. Just like friendships or relationships. You do something she wants, in return she does something you want. To get them to opt in, you give them a free book. To make them buy stuff, you give them what they want. Maybe good free content or a tutorial about something, etc. The more you give, the more you get in return. You can't keep asking (in other words keep spamming with offers without providing the content they want) or they will leave you. You can't keep giving without a return etc. This only works both ways. In marketing, relationships etc.

How to Market anything?

Now let's go back to dedication a bit. Let me ask you a question: "Would you hand over your car keys to a stranger on the street?" I don't think so. "Would you hand over the keys to your roommate?" Probably. Why? Because you have a history together so you know him, so you "trust" him. This is exactly the same in marketing. It will be hard for a total stranger to fill out a 3 page cpa offer for you. Why? Because you are a stranger for him. But if he would know you, then maybe he would. That's why email/zip submits convert better (well, except shaving) because the commitment required is "minimum". He doesn't have to know you much. And he doesn't have to spend much time to do it.

Why ewhoring is very hard now? Because people don't trust easily as they used to before. So you need more communication, more back and forth messaging to re establish and gain that trust. For most, it's too much work now. No more one liners. So they quit. To be successfully promote any offer or a service, you need to put yourself in their shoes and think like them. Think about the product. How you can market it. If you would come across, would you be interested? Why not? If what would be different, you would be interested? Ask these questions to yourself. Brainstorm. Try and fail. Assume yourself as the marketing manager of that cpa offer's company. You are in your office, sitting on your chair. How would you market it? When you do this and brainstorm, sooner or later you'll come up with many ideas. And some of those ideas will work, some won't. But you can't know if you don't try.

Conclusion

My advice to people who are not making any money online. Before reading ebooks and methods, read a marketing book. Marketing 101 and marketing for dummies are good ones. If you don't know what marketing is and what it is about, then you have zero chance in internet marketing. Not one single method will help you, even if it's a copy paste method. Because you will do something wrong and you will fail. You can get lucky and make a few dollars here and there but it will never be enough to quit your day job.

This is the same for your life. If you constantly go out 100 nights in a row, and talk with 20 chicks each time, you will get laid, eventually. Your looks or your voice doesn't matter. You'll run into a chick so drunk or so high and you will get laid. But this won't make you a casanova. You know what i mean?

So the key is not what you're doing. It's how you are doing it. Don't quit my friend. Work hard, try and fail and try again. You'll see that one day everything will be different for you :) Good luck!

I think you're hopping around too much. You've tried like a 1/2 dozen methods in 8 months. It takes time to really learn a method and figure out what works for you. I'd say pick one method and really focus on it for a while. Read up on how to really make it work for you and try to see what kind of results you get.

I tend to be the same way - jumping from project type to project type - and when I do that I am not only less productive in general but I make less. But, when I pick one project and stick to it for a few months I get more done and I make more money.

Don't quit, just keep tweaking until you find something that works. Then scale it up.

i made some money using the site on my profile but I am still looking for other ways to make money also. I read the movie thread but I didn't understand it because the language was garbled English.
