Content Writer Needs Some Help?!?!?!?

Hello guys,

I have been on BHW for a long time now and honestly, it helped me a lot when it comes to earning money online.

The problem started as soon as I found an online job as a guest post writer which is paying me 1$ per 100 words.

They request optimized articles with full research and authenticity.

I want to ask you guys for some tips when it comes to finding long-term work as a writer with higher pay.

I've been doing this for over 3 years now and I'm supporting my family with everything I earn but being a student and taking care of a disabled person is taking a lot of time to switch to something else.

I started on Upwork but got suspended because one of my clients got suspended which doesn't make any sense but they are garbage...
I was thinking about creating my own website but need a certain budget for promotion.

This is my opinion....

One cent per word is low, but not unusual pay rates for some content mill websites such as Textbroker. The key to making money at these rates is being able to churn out 'good enough' quality articles very quickly. Most buyers know they are paying for unique, but not great quality articles, written primarily for SEO purposes. Sounds like your client may be ignorant of that fact or is taking advantage, in my opinion.

I am looking to get back into content writing (I'm in the UK) and I would like to avoid the content mills if possible. The advice I have read, and which makes sense to me most, is to proactively obtain work from higher-paying writing job sites such as https://problogger.com/jobs/ and pitching to website owners to write for them either as a paid guest blogger or ghostwriter. Having, or developing, expertise in a high paying niche is also a good strategy, as is having your own writers website. Some good info is available on elnacain.com, Carol Tice's makealivingwriting.com and writersincharge.com.

Content mills (which include Fiverr and Upwork) are not completely useless.... you may be approached to do more long term, slightly higher-paying work if a client who has a big project finds and likes you, but you will also have to do a lot of relatively low paying work, which, as you know, is a pain in the neck.
