You are right about it. However, if you rush to have a bunch of links, most likely it'll be ignored by Google or even be negative. In the ideal world having organic links would be the optimal, but, it is highly unlikely that's going to happen

Both matter, but if I had to pick I’d lean toward links since they compound over time. Fresh content keeps things alive, but authority from backlinks really drives the long game. Curious how others here balance the two.

Yes this is true as long as your competitors are also using backlinks. if your competitors are not strong enough and you choose very easy keywords you can rank well in some context. But eventually it is backlink game for sure!
 
Both matter, but the real growth comes from mixing fresh content with strong backlinks they work best together.
 
In my opinion the content with good quality and associated with backlink on it will be fine and good.
 
Strong analogy content is the engine, backlinks the fuel. Quality content alone won't take you far without visibility via relevant links. For long-term growth, a balanced focus on both is key.

I have a small question, I hope to receive answers from experienced people soon:
Is that link a link to an article on the same website, or a link to another website?
 
with current market trends you'll need fresh content anyways, like if you attract traffic there should be something new users will be looking at
but as many here said, quality links are the basis for long term growth
 
Both are important, but I believe fresh, valuable content supported by quality links creates the strongest foundation for long-term growth
