I assumed posting content would automatically bring leads. in reality, engaging with people and building relationships made a much bigger difference.

Same here. Posting helped a little, but most of my leads came from talking to people, staying in touch, and building real connections.

I had a similar experience Creating content is important but content alone is not always enough Building relationships engaging with people and earning trust often make a much bigger impact when it comes to generating leads and long term results

Absolutely. Content creates visibility, but conversations create opportunities. Building genuine relationships is often what turns engagement into real leads.

That has always been the case, posting content is only the first step to getting views, if you do not engaged with your audience in real time, conversions are very low

100% true
content gets attention but conversations build trust and trust gets leads

a lot of people post all day and never spend time engaging with the audience they attract

That’s right. In my experience, being proactive in engaging with others helps build stronger relationships and makes it easier to find customers.

Content's often the introduction, not the sale. Posting helps you get pushed by the algo and lets people discover you, but engaging with people and building that rapport is usually what turns views into leads. Usually.

I assumed content would attract leads automatically, but building relationships was far more effective.

From my experience, creating content alone isn't enough. Consistent interaction and relationship-building with people in your network are essential for increasing visibility and reaching more potential customers.

It's good that your learning this. From my own experience, the relationship building and engaging with people in your network are the essential and keys to growth and reaching more people on Linkedin.

that is how social media works, people don't trust you because of content alone, they want to engage you on a more personal level, and those take time but they pay off big time

Yeah, I learned that the hard way. Posting helps, but real growth started when I spent more time engaging with people

LinkedIn is a lot like Twitter where being a reply guy is a good step forward in pulling
communities into the content you post.

Truth is, you need the content for when your networking brings them to you.
