There are really only 2 spinner programs that make unique "readable" content. Neither are fully automatic. And both take a lot of time to set up an article.
Wordflood - which allows you to create one spun article at a time.
Power Article Rewriter - which creates multiple spun articles. But you have to learn to use the { | } brackets to insert your alternate words or phrases. It takes time to create an article but it can be spun into hundreds of unique articles if done properly.
I normally create an article in PAR then take it to the Jetspinner site and spin the article. They spin it for free ( up to 999 times ) and let you download all the files in a zip folder.

jetspinnerDOTcom is in my opinion a great place to get FREE spunned articles. Sure you can SEnuke spin an article but when you need a quick alt....... js is the ready handy SOLUTION. peace out!
I've had articles rejected because they were "too similar" and sure enough the one I submitted was a rewrite of another one. Not even spun, and I know for a fact that there were a few partial sentences that were the same as the original. Hope that helps.

If you're going to submit to article directories, you're better off writing the article yourself then spin that version of the article to submit to different directories. This way you are almost guaranteed to be accepted into the article directories.
My methodology is to firstly go to Google and search for a book summary on my niche or topic, and then rewrite it as a unique article. I then use any of the available free spinners to get multiple versions from my first article. It always passes Copyscape and thus deemed as 100% unique.

Interesting topic. I'm actually writing an article re-writer/spinner right now.
What makes a article re-writer usable?
I've found that everyone seems to have a different opinion. So far I haven't found one that does what I want and that is "everything".
I only want to type when I have to or want to, I want synonym find/replace/group, I want sentence spinning without having to highlight, I want phrase editing with suggestions, and I want the software to learn as I use it (this is a big one) and provide future suggestions, and finally I want it to submit to the major article directories automatically with tracking.
If you have specific ideas on what you want in a software application, I can try to accommodate them. I do plan to sell this software (WSO, of course) when it is complete.
It is definitely a difficult task because there are a lot of different things that take place when manually editing an article that are hard to put gui's to.

I would like such a software to create reports when finished for my own archiving and reference. I would like also some form of sentence spinner where you select sentence and scrape it for similar ones that might work, or similar meanings with different wording. Is that too difficult?
It's also questioned on almost every forum for being of dubious nature. I really wish you guys would change it to some low monthly payment and set it up on clickbank or somewhere where it can be looked upon by the rest of us as fully legit. Until that happens you will never beat TBS. And honestly I wish you guys would do that and beat TBS because aside from that one product Brad Cullen is a freakin scammer and a bs artist, who does not stand behind any of his older softwares... 
Might be an idea to get your facts right before you start making accusations. Presumably you mean Jonathan Leger when you say Brad Cullen? Likewise, SpinnerChief is not questioned on any forum any more, and hasn't been for many months now. In fact one forum has offered a public apology, another has taken down the original thread which made accusations, and yet another rebuked its members from the start for posting garbage.It's also questioned on almost every forum for being of dubious nature. We have over 7k registered users and there is no evidence anywhere on the net that shows SpinnerChief performing anything even remotely resembling a malicious act.
