Hello everyone. Have done for a small amount of years. In the beginning I always thought that as long as you post everyday quality content, you would rank(assuming KW and linkbuilding has been done) but even this I am not sure anymore because google. Ive seen a thread where a posting 15 quality articles, atleast 2000 words in length, a month to good results.

I wanted to ask my fellow BHW users how often and they post, the content length, and the results. Do you get organic traffic by doing 15 good articles a month and focus on linkbuilding to those articles. Or do you post two 500 articles every day and spread the linkbacks? Which method do you usually use?

In my niches usually at least few direct links are needed for solid potions, otherwise the content just hovers around top of 2nd page indefinitely.

Other way around this would be massive root authority.

Thanks for the reply! Interesting, I noticed articles with no links seldom rank on the first page.

Let's say site that is just starting out. Based on your experience, would you recommend 15 solid post for the month with 2 good linkbacks per article on average(assuming niche is evergreen) for organic traffic?

to answer directly, now a days i post once in a week. Mine is established site.

there's no number written in stone OP. Just post how often you want, but make sure you are consistent. If you post once or twice a week, stick to that until you either become an authority in your niche or get your website penalized for whatever dumb reason google invents. If you can post 2-3 articles each day that's even better, but again, make sure you are consistent. But the biggest problem with people who create content manually is that they get burnt out fast, and then they stop posting and as a consequence, the rankings drop. Not always, but it does happen!

So, post at whatever pace you are comfortable with, but make sure you do it until your either bank hard or get penalized / deindexed

As for backlinking, if you create content around keywords that no one targets you won't need a single backlink. Backlinks are only important for medium to competitive keywords

I don't think Google really cares about frequency
(Your site must be easy to crawl obviously)

These days, I push content twice per week as soon as I'm done with editing.

Thank you for the reply! I will give it a run with 1 article a day with a bunch of low comp keywords with some volume without attempting to get major backlinks and see how it goes. Will if the site starts showing a pulse.

Thank you all for the replies! Will try one article a day with a focus on low comp keywords and forget backlinks for now and report the results.

My posting consistency depends on the niche my blog is in.

If I'm in a niche with fast-changing content, I will post very frequently because this is what my target audience expects.

I wouldn't be delivering the kind of value they're looking for if I post only once in a blue moon.

On the other hand, I can get away with publishing large batches every once in a while if I'm targeting an evergreen niche where the core information doesn't frequently change.

At the end of the day, it's all about user experience.

I can talk a good game about "content quality," but how do you measure that?

You have to pay attention to the value your content brings to the table, and the only objective way to do that is to focus on bounce rate and dwell time.

You know you're on the right path as far as your quality content goes when the average person who finds their way to your site clicks on one internal link after another.

Not only do they find the information they're looking for, but you're offering them other information that piques their interest.

That's how you know you have high-quality content.

Focus less on volume and more on the experience of your users.

Thank you for your reply, this info is extremely helpful. Definately going to pay more attention to bounce rate and user behavior to see what's working and what not.
