Content or SEO first

content is the king.... SEO will follow.

Content content content.
People do not read blogs for SEO.
They want unique content.

SEO is always there and should be there... be mindful of blog titles and use a wordpress plugin like SEO yoast to assist you.

In fact i've changed my mind. Spam the shit out of it with backlinks and off page seo, and then post another question a few weeks from now complaining that you've done loads of seo and your site is still nowhere to be seen.

That was not what I meant at all, not sure if trolling actually. I know SEO is a long and hard process and I don't complain at all. What I meant was that I picked a niche which I am not generally that interested in and it will take a while to come with content. I wont write two articles a day because I am passionated about the subject but rather a few every week. I don't want to spam either, I hate spam and where did I wrote that?

I want to create "natural" backlinks to my blog to get my visitor rate up and in the end make some cash.
Don't know whats so wrong with my questions, I am new to this and I imagine it to be like a company, you can make high quality products worth a lot but if you don't advertise/copyright it somehow you will end up being outranked by a new bigger company with the same products, or you will advertise as hell but than you don't have as much products to sell hence you don't get any sales.

In other things, I've read all the post and feel that I should try to add some more content and at the same time try to learn SEO. Maybe I should write some articles offline and to have ready, try and do some SEO and than post them each few days, than I can full time try to SEO it instead of wasting time and writing/posting them.

Dude. It's the YEAR 2013. You can no longer expect to rank without content, EVEN with good backlinks. Google has made it clear bro, unique high quality content AND high pr backlinks is the key to high rankings. Not just 1.

Every website or blog first make content for our blog/website and then go for SEO. Otherwise do it at same time.

You should try to use both of them. Try to write great content and optimize it for seo. I use squirrly seo for this. You can write your articles and in the same time you optimize it because you have a checklist that goes green as you write. So you can do both in the same time.

I wish people shared content MORE often. You're talking about a situation where they "steal" the content? Can't help that.
Make it so people would have no choice BUT to link to your entire site, because the content is no-nonsense-straight-up-helpful-info-stringed-together.

start out with 75% content and 25% SEO then over time and once you have some good content up close the gap

You can use YOAST SEO to do both. This plugin helps you SEO your content while you're writing them out. Very helpful and also gives you a lot of flexibility-you can write for BOTH humans and SE robots at the same time.
