Hey everyone,
I’m curious about what the community thinks:
For a new or growing website, do you focus on creating high-quality content first, or do you optimize the technical SEO before producing contentWhich approach has worked better for you, and why?
Would love to hear your strategies and experiences!

Technical SEO first, but only the basics - takes a few hours, not weeks. Make sure the site is indexable, loads fast, has clean URL structure, sitemap submitted. Once that's done forget about technical and go all in on content.
The reason technical comes first is simple - you don't want to publish 50 articles and then realize half of them aren't indexing properly because of some crawl issue you could have fixed in an afternoon.
But don't fall into the trap of spending months perfecting technical SEO on a site with no content. I've seen people obsess over Core Web Vitals on a 5-page site. Google needs content to rank you, not a perfect PageSpeed score.
After the basics are solid - content is 80% of the work. Technical SEO on an established site is maintenance, not growth.

Start with technical seo to ensure your site is crawlable and fast and then focus on frequently publishing quality content for the better results.

You gotta have some fire content to even put out there, but if your site's tech is busted, ain't nobody gonna find that heat anyway. I'd say get your foundation right with the tech seo first, so when you drop them dope articles, the search engines ain't blocking the view

I'd say you gotta get some decent content out there first. Like, what's the point of having a super optimized site if there's nothing good for people to even see or read. Long-tail keywords, linking internal articles

I’d say focus on content first. Without great content, technical SEO won’t do much. Once you have solid, high-quality content, then optimize the site technically like fixing speed issues, mobile-friendliness, and indexing. Content is what will drive people to your site, and technical SEO helps make sure it gets found and performs well.

i focus on basic technical first like speed and index then push content hard because content bring traffic but tech help it rank better.

Start with basic technical SEO first, like site speed, mobile friendly design, and clean structure. Then I focus on creating good content. Without a strong base, content won’t perform well. A balanced approach works best.

Technical SEO is the foundation, so get your indexing and site speed right first. Once the technicals are solid, focus 100% on high-quality content with unique "Information Gain." Great content won't rank on a broken site, and a perfect site won't rank with thin content.

I'd focus on content first. If there's no good content, technical SEO won't do much. Just make sure basic things are fine, then put most effort into content.

I’d say focus on content first. If you don’t have good content, all the technical SEO in the world won’t matter much. Once you have solid content, then you can work on optimizing it technically (like fixing speed, mobile issues, etc.). Content helps attract traffic, and technical SEO just makes sure search engines can crawl and index it better.

I usually focus on content first, cause without good content SEO won’t help much.

I usually start with content first. no point fixing technical stuff if there is nothing valuable to rank, once content is in place then I clean up technical SEO.

Basic technical setup first (speed, indexing, structure), then focus on content. No point publishing if foundation isn’t ready

Both matter, but I’d usually start with technical SEO to build a solid foundation.
If a site has crawling, indexing, or speed issues, even great content won’t perform properly.

Once the technical side is in place, content marketing becomes much more effective and easier to scale.

If you’re starting from scratch, technical SEO comes first, content comes second, backlinks come third. Reason is simple that if your technical setup is trash, no amount of content will rank. If Google can’t crawl, index, or properly understand your site, you’re dead before you start.

I’d say start with technical SEO first. If your site isn't properly optimized (fast, mobile-friendly, crawlable), content won’t perform as well. Once that's solid, focus on content for better results.

It is better start with decent content first , even if is not perfect. Having something useful on the site makes SEO tweaks actually matter . I usually do basic technical setup early , but do not overthink it . Content gives you something real to optimize and improve later.

When deciding between content marketing and technical SEO, it is important to look at the current state of your website. Technical SEO provides the foundation for success. If your website has slow loading speeds, broken links, or poor mobile performance, content marketing alone will not achieve results. Ensuring your site is secure, well-structured, and easy for search engines to crawl should come first. Once the technical aspects are in place, content marketing can drive traffic, build authority, and engage your audience effectively.

For this reason, a company like Magnitude Creative focuses on strengthening your website technically while creating high-quality content that attracts visitors and supports long-term growth.

Firstly, You should focus on content, then fix technical SEO. Without good content, SEO won't work anyway, technical stuff just helps support it.
