Hey everyone,

I have started using content locking with a networks locker. I see in my wordpress stats that I people have clicked on links that are on locked pages, so the only way they could click it is if they completed an offer. I check the cpa network and it registers no conversions. How is this possible? The network is slow on responding, and this has happened before. any BHW ppl have ideas of whats going on?

thanks

Turn off js in your browser with a noscript plugin and block the one that puts up the locker.

There's scripts that easily bypass content lockers.

When you content lock your target market is people who have low IQ's (fortunately that's a huge percentage of the world), but don't expect all visitors to be able to not bypass the content lock, it's an inevitable side effect when content locking.

Most of the easy to setup content lockers that you use on your own page can easily be bypassed. There are two alternative methods if you don't want people to bypass the locker.

a. Setup security on your end. If the network offers a postback function then this can be done. It will require a bit of coding and in most cases is not worth it (depending on how valuable the thing is you're locking).

b. Use a gateway redirect. AdGate Media offers what is called a URL Gateway. This is a gateway that we host and can not be bypassed. You simply enter a URL that you want the user redirected to once an offer is completed.
