Content locker question

Hi, i have a question relating to content locker, is it always necessary to do a hack or fake content generator to make money or can we actually allow user to download something. Say for eg I wish to lock a file (word or pdf) can i do so for content locker? Or i need to promote fake stuff only? Can i actually give user a file to download and make money on cpa grip and ogads (mod i felt this was the best place to ask this if it's not please shift it)

Of course, you can provide the file, but if its a hack or copyrighted item most choose to just link the user to more information in order not to get in hot water themselves.
On the other hand, you can, of course, use content locking in more whitehat niches but have to realize that people do offers as they expect something that they cannot find anywhere else (as it does not exist e.g. gem generator etc.)
