Thanks as always guys, that clears that up![]()
Mix it up, best way.
Poor writers write just for the word count, a good writer writes for the feel of the article.
Just schedules 9 articles for a site, ranging from just under 800 words to 1950 words.

I have plenty of 500 word articles that rank #1.If you think long content is not better then...idk what to say. Over 1 year ago I tested this myself. I put a 500 word article up and let it sit for 2 months, I added 1k words to it and guess what happened? Every single keyword increased in ranking.
I understand where you are coming from about not knowing the context but its clear content length either directly or indirectly helps you rank better.
Our good buddy @t0mmy just dropped a nice post on long form content https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/2...-deliver-seo-results-5-foot-11-inches.940161/
One 25,000 word article.
In all seriousness this is pretty good advice.
How many other people do you know that are willing to write that in depth on a topic?
OP take note, maybe not as extreme as 25,000 but longer than 1000.
The old adage springs to mind;
"do what others do and get what others get"
And i'm gonna add; "do what others don't and you will get what others don't"
