why people say "content is king".what did they mean by content is king.is mean that a well optimized content, or well information content or bigger then competitior content?

Content is queen, it must attract the king

It should satisfy user query.

According to me:

If your content is not good, google will trash your site
If it is not good, visitors will not read your content, which means you will get high bounce rate, which will affect your site.
Regularly updating contents will helps your site to gain traffic. Basically google will not crawl images, hence you have to concentrate on the articles you post along with your keyword.

These are some of the basic things which helps you to understand why content is king.

Great content is king, combined with greater links, it´s a kingdom .. =)

put it this way, do you value a site that is in depth with its articles
or a site with 2 line spun rubbish .

Content is king because Google works hard to provide the best result. They monitor everything, time on page, click rates, if your visitors stop looking for the keyword once they read your article and so on.

For example, a nice retention can rank you above sites with many more quality links than you. When your content is the finest of your industry be sure your article will be linked and shared, some people forgot that links come naturally.

In the opposite, if your content is shit you can spend thousands of $ on quality links and never be the #1.

If your article is not well informative, users will get bored and skip the page, so it not good for SEO. Like this there are many factors which comes under content, hence people say content is king.

Content is one of the most important things about blogging, but there is a lot of factors as well.

This saying lol. Seems so silly to me.

It's like a musician saying "music is king".

Well, duh.

"Content Is King" does dot necessarily means it has to be 'bigger' than your competitors. However your content should well informative so readers could be well informed on the subject and also it should be well optimized so Google could serve to people looking for such queries

Quality and quality means visitor will read your content and Google will love that.

To keep the user on the page and answer their attention content such as pictures, infographics, and video is essential.

If your content is not engaging and does not answer the searcher's question, you will be moved down in the SERP. While the length of content helps Google understand your page, in the end, it is about how the users interact with the content that will determine your final position in the SERP.

Content is indeed king is it's really great content.. just because you pay 8 per 100 words doesn't mean u can get great content... so it's subjective, I've seen content 30 USD per 100 words and what a utter trash.

The ole bait & switch.

People visit a site for one of several reasons. If your content doesn't fulfill the reasons, you will not get anywhere. Therefore, content is King.

The reasons: Answer a question, fulfill a need.
Do one or the other and do it well to get anywhere. Don't be shy to alter your content if apparently you are filling one of these two in an unexpected way. Content may be king, but without people/visitors a king can't rule anything.
