What kind of content should I use for tier 1. All original articles, or spun article on word level, spun on sentence level or content machine articles?

I am talking about building links for a MSN so it doesn't make much sense to spin on sentence level for a small number of web 2.0/article sites - less than 20 where I would submit my articles to.

Also does it matter of the promotional articles is 200 or 400 or 500 word long.

You write or buy a fairly good article, then you manually spin it to pass human moderation. Matthew Woodward has a good tutorial for this. Everything you said makes sense for Tier 1 as long as it passes human moderation, but I can understand you do not want to spent 2 hours spinning for only 20 articles.

Yeah I can do manually on word level. It takes about 1 hour per articles.

But is it good enough?

20-30 manual web 2.0's should be just fine. I would go with writing a variation for every sentence in the article and then spinning it on word level.
 
Well that is 2-3 hours for one additional sentence + word level spin.

How do you figure that? You write out a 500 word article. Then you write out two sentences that are about the same topic, just different enough. You'd end up with around 1500 words. Place the brackets appropriately so when you get new articles, they come out around 500 words and not 1500. After you spin it word level, you can use this giant spun article as many times as you want. It will always be unique.
 
I have had a lot of success with sentence spun articles with 500 - 600 words. I have tried all versions and this has given me the best results.

Because I need around an hour to spin 400 words on word level. I do not like spinning too much as i did over 100 000 word in last 12 months and earn basically nothing.

Then obviously spinning articles isn't your only problem. I gave you a solution that you would have to do one time and have an unlimited number of articles for your backlinks. Sure, it'd take a few hours. But it far out weights the cons.
 
I'd recommend looking up Expertpeon's posts on here about making huge spun articles... basically goes like this

Each article has a large number of stand alone paragraphs. Paragraphs are sentence/phrase/word spun. Use software to randomly choose which paragraphs to use. If you have 10 stand alone paragraphs and you use 3 per article it's pretty darn unique. Especially when everything is spun. Of course if you only have 30 web 2.0's then this is massively overkill. Get them sentence rewrites and word spun and it will be good enough.

tbh, if you only spin on word level, i highly doubt if you can generate much high quality articles.

I suggest you to spin your article at least with 2 sentence variations: {original|sentence 1|sentence 2}, and then word spin it. dont use it for more than 100 articles.

A spun article is a spun article, doesn't matter if you spin it to duper ultra spintax or anything, it is only from 1 article, instead of spending too much time on creating 1 big spintax which take you 2-3 days. create 3-4 spintax each have 2-3 sentences variation with word spun.

I think that is better.

Post 1 articles per day. You can setup a schedule if you have wordpress blog. Thats All :)
 
Honestly, I would go with a unique article on tier 1. No spinning.
Tier 2 is where you should do the sentence and word spinning.

The reason is because you want to create high quality tier 1 content. If you spin the content you kind of water the quality down. So you create a fresh article from scratch that is around the same topic and spin it and blast links to the tier 1. Then followed by bookmarks, social networks, and wiki's pointed to the tier 2. Once you have a good list of tier 3 sites blast them with the same of tier 2 so you create a 4th tier.

For large sites that is fine. I have experience in such a kind of spinning as I have done few huge 10+ sentence replacement articles.

Yet here I do not need unlimited articles. I need just 20-30 copies. Also, for 500 words, assuming I need 5 sec per word it takes 2 500 secons and that is almost a hour so for writing spinning additional 2 articles and editing it would take additional 3 hours.

Then you would need to pay around $200 bucks for a MNS that maybe won't even earn 200 bucks a year.
 
I've always found tier 1 best left to hand written content, without it touching any spinners (unless its churn and burn). It just isn't worth spinning if the website is relatively important to you. It may cost more money, but you can rest assured that you're as safe as can be.
