I have a question about what content to put on micro niche sites. My first 7 sites are doing good bringing in £300 a month, but its dieing off a bit as summer closes, as they are summery items. So i thought i would make some all year round niched sites.

I have made 5 new micro niche sites, all pretty easy competition about the same as my first 7.

I bought the domains over a month ago they are all indexed, added a bit of content etc so there is a site up.

4/5 sites ranked somewhere in top 20 after a week, this has been about normal for me with my first 7 sites. But now a month and a bit later only 1/5 ranks. The one site ranks 7th, the other 4 i cant find in the top 500.

So i thought maybe its something to do with the content i have written?

The problem is what do i write about? For example say i chose the niche "pink socks" What the heck can you write about pink socks?

    Maybe

"people that where pink socks are normally women, but sometimes men like to wear them. You can get pink socks in all types of sizes, some small some big! Blah, blah, blah."

So basically this is just dribble!? At the moment this is what my sites are like. One of my sites has only 200 words, as there is almost nothing more i can add. My sites average is 400 words is this enough for your homepage, does it matter?

But what else can you add? Surly this is exactly what Google doesnt want?

well, you could outsource the content. there's a few cheap providers here on BHW who can write some decent content!!!

Yeah, either you outsource it. Or you pick out some niche that you are interested in, then it will be easier to write about something you like.

I would highly recommend buying the articles, as you will no longer have to think about such problems, and saving lots of time.
And actually it will no longer matter what you keywords are, you simply don't have to care what to write about them

You could search for articles on "socks" and then do a find and replace - change "socks" to "pink socks" - you get the idea. Looking for articles on "pink socks" won't deliver very many, but broadening your search and then modifying the article to your micro niche keywork works well and it partly spins the article too at the same time.

In my opinion, the best possible way to solve your problem is to hire some article writers for a long time. You will have a more time for new blogs for yourself and you will make more money :)

Yeah I agree with everyone else. Definitely outsource it. I have the same problem with a lot of my niche sites and I never knew what to write about. If you get a good writer, that's their job to come up with good content, so they will be much better at it than you are.
