I know this may sound stupid. However, content writing has never been a strong point of mine. Even from school, I was bottom of the class but I wouldn't mind learning how I can improve and structure articles. My articles when I write them, feels like I am just rambling on and basically trying to fluff the content out to get the 500 words mark.

Any writers share any knowledge or advise ?

Thanks

One thing I found that helped me is writing down in my headings what I wanted to talk about in my articles.

Just replace this quick template I made with ideas you want to cover and then talk about those things in those areas. Then just fill in the gaps.
So even if you don't have ideas, you can come back to it later. At least it gives you a general sense of what you want to cover.

This looks solid but I have trouble with words and making it sound good. I find my content, i personally don't like.

You will want to outline and plan ahead. Know exactly what you want to say before you start writing. That means separating the article-to-be into subheads, naming the subheads, and making mini-notes about what those subheads will contain. That way you won’t get swept away and taken for a ride by your own imagination. Or, in your own words, you won’t start rambling.
If you’re having trouble with finding what to write about, simply research the topic some more, then think of a way to fit your findings into the structure. The worst thing that you could possibly do is start writing before you know what you want to say.

There is no easy ways to write content, it all comes from your mind. You need to make up creative ideas and add them in your content & proofread them later on.

The most easiest way to get references / ideas is to first search about your topic and keep at-least 2-3 sources as your reference. You can also convert the content into a brief description, there is one online tool that does just that.

Take some ideas, learn more about the topic and write them in your own way. It doesn't matter whether it has grammatical errors or weird sounding sentences, you just need to reach a certain word-limit with a content that is informative and accurate.

Or....

Rewrite the article (this also requires hard work and it isn't easy, but you won't have to think and write)

The best thing would be to get someone to mentor you through
the writing process. A mentor would be in a good position to assess
your writing and advice you on areas where you can improve.

Also, keep practicing and write often and you will improve with time.

Content writing is not as easy as it sounds. So if you are not good at it then it is smarter to get it done with the experts. You could find them more easily here at BHW and also in other social platforms.

Look for the best writers, ask them for their samples, evaluate it to assess their quality. if it seems satisfactory then proceed with the test order.

All the best!

You may not personally be great at creating content but you can always learn and emulate. Look at your competitor's articles. Try and find where you can improve on their content and essentially re-write their article in your own voice and improve where their article lacks. Add images if they don't have any, etc. If you don't have some sort of learning disability (dyslexia) I would suggest reading more in general, anything. Writing is a skill just like any other and with enough practice you can improve it over time.

Try not to think while you writing. I mean, first you put everything you have to say on the list, then you structure it and make look good. It's like a puzzle.

What type of content are you looking to write?

There are at least 4 types of content.

These types differ based on the INTENT of the reader

Attention content - content you use to attract new eyeballs - example: question-based content "do horses eat mangoes?' etc etc

Authority content - 'attention content' links to this longer from type content to demonstrate your site's EXPERTISE
The point of this content is to get people to FORM A COMMUNITY around your content via email list subscription or following your soc med accounts

Community content - list / how to / explainer content your community wants

Sales content - calls readers to action to buy something or do something that puts dollars in your pockets

The 4 types above have different structures and do's and don'ts

You should focus on ATTENTION CONTENT and just work on the central question you're answering and find RELATED QUESTIONS to fill out your blog post

Once you get the hang of it, move down the list to the other 3 types

You need to enter the research zone frequently to keep the ideas of content flowing. Take a moment, really. As soon as you find the idea about which you are going to write, research more. But now, specifically on the topic.

Looking solid structure.

Hello there,

I get you...I also faced similar issue when I was a beginner..the only solution is to do more research on the topic before you start writing on any topic..have a outline of your content..also don't focus on increasing the word count..instead focus on quality of each sentences..

Read it out once you are done with the article. Keep editing it until you are satisfied...

All the best buddy!!!

Read as much as you can blog & Observe the pattern has been used in the article ask a question to yourself why they using a particular pattern. You get an idea where you should focus on.

Try to write 10 articles. No matter how shit they are. By the tenth you’ll get a feel for it. After that just outsource it.
