Contact importers (Msn Gmail etc)how to use?

Hi

I am loading a contact importer on to my site,

Like the ones when you join friendster etc (When someone joins your site they can import hotmail contacts or gmail etc)

Is there away that i can limit the amout of emails to be sent per hour so not to be flagged as spam etc

Can my host assist with this in anway? The importer is a module for phpfox
