Constant link building = Constant Google Dance, Why ?

I've seen the same scenario across many of my sites. Each time when i build links, my site jumps all over the place. Once i stop building links, week later all is stable and i move up a lot. Is there a way to keep building links and not expirience google dance, jumping +-10 positions ?

I know the secret. But I can't spoonfeed it since it is way too valuable.
But I'm just letting you know that there is a reason why your site is dancing, and there are things you can do to stop it. This is also one of the reasons why you can sb/xrumer blast a site and they will disappear and the reason why some sites won't. Just a bit of searching should point you to the right direction.

What is this a mystery game. I call your bluff and say you have no idea what you are talking about. First, no one knows and you may have an idea but the chances of you actually knowing are probably slim to none. Second, why would you post something like you just did. You didn't even provide value to the OP. Saying you know but its a secret and do some searching.

To the OP, I just got out of the google dance. Is your site new? Google may be putting your site on some sort of holding period until it can rank your where it feels necessary. I was dancing around until all of a sudden, one day I shot up for 20 of my keywords. This was after 2 months and just kept building backlinks. My opinion is that it is googles way of situating links and trying to establish what your site is. Notice if you do manual high quality backlinks, there is no real google dancing. At least not for me.

Keep building back links and stop looking at the rankings. Let analytics show you if you are getting traffic from
 
My sites are 2 years old. I already rank in top3-10 it's kinda anoying when i go from #3 to #13 :)

Im dancing all over the place at the moment, I can check my listing every 24 hours and can be +/- 10 places each time.

I have been targeting a small group of keywords so I am going to try and broaden my efforts and in increase my keyword list to see if that helps.

Also the only thing I have not done yet is a Social Bookmarking blast, so I am going to give that a go, I think my efforts may not be varied enough so its causing the dance.

It has something to do with the way google keeps track of the links pointing to your site and has something to do with the lack of computing power or resources they have. For example, if you go to yahoo site explorer, (or any seo tool that tells you the backlinks of a site), some of the sites listed will not have links pointing to ur site due to either deletion by the webmaster, or website is no longer available. And yet yahoo site explorer still thinks that these sites have links pointing to your site.

Why would G lower sites ranking, even when it didn't had enough power to process new links.
 
Be consistent. If you only build massive amounts of links in bursts then that should give you a clue to why it happens.
 
I don't know if there really is a secret, and I haven't had the chance to test it myself, but I found some interesting info in a post (which I'm not allowed to post the url here, so to find it: ) which rank first on G with keyword 'how to deal with google dance'.
Pretty much summarized in a short article (rank first on G with 'stop the google dance') with this words:

You have to be consistent: Your link building must be regular and planed on a long term basis.

I have dripable feeding a set number of links to my site everyday and have had for the last 8 weeks but my site still dances.

WTH. If you know how to prevent your sites from going to the sandbox or dancing all the time whenever you build links, then you can just keep doing xrumer blast, sb blast, forum blast, and etc all the time. This information is too valuable to be spoonfed and let noobs ruin it. No one in their right mind will share. You are lucky I'm giving clues.
 
You need more authority backlinks, try high PR blog comments or profile links...

I guess his super trick is 301 redirects or using web20 as buffer sites.

My knowledge is limited yet where i have known something someone else did not I shared, I am not doing great but still i will help as this is why we are here, like most my niches are up and down, I just had two sites go from position 2 to position 68, both have been at pos 2 for a full year and not one thing was changed by me, perhaps google changed something who knows except of course you my secret man.

We are all here to make money and not give money away. I share a lot of information. Most of my posts are about helping other people. Some info just can't be given. If you want it bad enough, do research, don't expect valuable info to be spoonfed.
