Connecting your GoDaddy Domain with WP

Hey everyone

This is my first post, and I hope someone could help me out.

I just recently bought a domain from GoDaddy. I decided to buy it because I had a 99 cent coupon. I also have a basic WP account and I need to connect the domain I bought on Godaddy so I used it with WordPress. I can`t seem to find any information about it. Can someone please explain how I can do this? I read somewhere that you have to "map" the domain name.. can someone explain further please?
