Connect YouTube channel to a different gmail/Adsense account

I have a YouTube channel created under a new gmail account, and soon I will be able to monetize it. However, I already have an Adsense account, but under a different gmail account (an old one). Am I going to have problems monetizing the channel? Is there a way to connect the YouTube channel with an existing Adsense account on a different gmail account? Thank you.

You need to transfer ownership of the channel to a Brand Account and then link the new AdSense account through YouTube Studio's monetization settings.

Can't you run them separately?

Well. it's not a new one. I only have one Adsense account and it's old, and Google only allows one. I was thinking that maybe I could open a second Adsense account with a different bank account (only for YouTube), but it's a risk...
