I have a vps that only has ipv6 and I want to visit ipv4 websites. Is there a way to visit ipv4 websites using only ipv6 proxy? I am using squid as the proxy server
Well no. Most ipv6 systems are multihomed (ipv6 + ipv4 running next to eachother).
ipv6 gets preferred so if its available (AAAA record in DNS) it will use ipv6.
If you run only ipv6 you cannot access ipv4 and need a gateway.
Did you know there are isp's in china who have their clients running totally on ipv6 only and have a few gateways to translate ipv6-to-4 request thus only needing a /24 for a few million clients ?
This also means that 1000's of requests to sites are done from the same ipv4 addresses.
