Confusion over plagiarism checking in bulk

I want to check bulk articles for plagiasm. There are tons of things I can use, like Copyscape.

But if it isn't indexed the it isn't plagiarized - so do these services all just basically check Google results for a fee?

Is there a way to bulk check Google for indexed content if that is the case?
