I was just browsing flippa, when I noted an auction for 'justinbieberbelievealbum. com'

This site is just less then a month old. It sits at number one for 'Justin Bieber Believe' and 'Justin Bieber Believe Album' and is getting 12k hits a day.

It has a page rank of 0 and is above the wikipedia page 'en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Believe_(Justin_Bieber_album)'which has a page rank of '4'.

However the most suprising part is the link / anchor text profile:

    jbat.png

16,252 links all pointing to the same keyword, with the next keyword being 'homepage' with 7 links?!?!!?

So where the hell is Google Over Optimization algo? A new domain with 16k of links built in a month, all pointing to the same keyword?

Seem BH is very much alive and kicking still to me, unless this guy is a master of link bait and awesome with social?

Certain keywords are 'expected' by the algo to get used a lot, thereby not throwing up Google's "WTF?!?!?!" flag nearly as quickly when someone spams as cleverly as this guy did. Being a WordPress site it is also coded very well.

In short, that site is sort of like the "perfect storm" of elements/variables: EMD, LSI, relevant 'quality' content, coding elements, keyword expected to appear a quadrillion times per day, etc. etc.

Google will catch on, though, and kick it into the netherworld. Which is likely why the owner is trying to flip it already.

You need to understand how google makes the Algo to answer that question. Recently (by that I mean a few years) they have been hiring average people/freelancers online at $14.50 an hour....called "google rater" and getting them to MANUALLY rate search ranks...so its not completely a software/machine based decision. there is a lot more to it.

and as the previous post said...there is no 1 rule to straighten them all. some sites are expected to attract more attraction then others...especially in the NEWS niche....

Having said that....what happened was a fluke and cant be "planned for" ....for everyone else...stay under the radar and grow everything naturally the most secure way to not get de-indexed.

    hope that helps!

They can't get them all. Some sites will pass right under their noses. ;)
