Hi, researching keywords for youtube, people say to use long tail and I found some related long tail keywords that have searches like 20 or 50 per month according to ubersuggest. So how does such low search volume keywords helps getting organic traffic?

They don't, the hope is several other terms very similar to that have volume also.

If you rank a long tail word to 1st, then there are some other similar long tail words that will also rank in the 3rd or 5th maybe. And the high ranking of long tail words will boost the ranking of the main keywords.

It is easier to rank for long tail keywords but the trade off is that they have less traffic. 20 to 50 per month is not worth it at all. Maybe you can find some long tail keywords that are little less obscure and find a sweet point in between short tail and too obscure.

I suggest you learn keyword research with Ahrefs tutorials. Believe me, they know the best. You may have 20 variations of those long-tail keywords but you never know by looking at them which one is parent topic.
