Confused about Youtube Monetization

I read here that you can monetize after 10,000 views.

In an effort to combat these bad actors, YouTube has announced a change to its partner program today. From now on, creators won’t be able to turn on monetization until they hit 10,000 lifetime views on their channel. YouTube believes that this threshold will give them a chance to gather enough information on a channel to know if it’s legit. And it won’t be so high as to discourage new independent creators from signing up for the service.

My problem is that my views aren't showing up on the front of the video page. They do show up as live when you click the Analytics button though. Is my channel some how flagged or is just the update system on youtube not showing my full views on each video?

Also Question 2. Are SMM panel views even working for anyone else anymore. Bought some views from another place and the metrics are all outa wack. Like I have more impressions then unique views etc..

I'm getting close to the monetization thresh hold ,but I don't want to waste my time if my channels gonna be flagged some how.

Monetizing on youtube itself is worthless. You have to set up a revenue stream outside of YouTube ads for it to ever make sense. Ads on YT platform are way too volatile.

You used to need 10K views to be eligible to apply for monetization however things have changed these past months. Currently the monetization requirements are 4,000 watch hours in the previous 12 months and 1,000 total subscribers.

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if the requirements for monetization increase to 5000 subscribers and 10,000 watch hours by this time next year. Manually reviewing channels and videos is quite a time consuming task. Imagine the amount of small channels that apply for monetization each day; it's an exorbitant workload. Most channels with 1K-5K subs are making very small $ and it costs Google money to hire staff to review the channels/videos. Their automated systems aren't great at all right now so the more monetization applications and advertising issues the more staff required, etc.

Now OP, regarding your view questions:

For the views that aren't showing up on your video's watch pages - are you referring to organic traffic, or botted/purchased views? The last YouTube update fucked the botted view suppliers, a lot have paused their services, etc. There are currently issues being resolved, and patches to get around the recent updates are being worked on by the major parties involved. Views will likely resume within the coming weeks, if not days. Hang tight.

I'd say that the view numbers showing in your analytics will soon be removed to match your watch page view count if they were bought from an SMM panel. Shitty views will be shown in analytics but not publicly. There was a couple of threads I believe from the past few days that you'll be able to find discussion this issue. If the panel you purchased from offered any kind of refil/refund guarantees, hit them up in a few days if views aren't showing up to ask for refunds/credit.

Don't buy any cheap views yet, they'll likely show in analytics but not publicly so it's pointless. Also, your channel hasn't been flagged based on your description so don't worry about that.

Yeah seems to be working it's self out. Plus there's always custom bot scripts out there

Good point I always put the website url in the video and good on page seo in the description. I never click on the YouTube ads either.
