Confused About FB Likes??

Hey guys,

So I don't fully understand the whole FB like thing.

I've got a FB Page. And I also have a website. I want to build up the likes on my FB page so that I can market the website to them through status updates.

If I put a FB content locker on my site forcing people to "like" before they see the content what happens? I think they have only liked the website ... correct? Will those people see my FB page status updates?

I want to lock content on my website that they can only view after clicking "like". But I want that like to count towards my FB page so I can market to them through status updates later on.

Can someone please clarfiy and/or point me towards a good FB content locker that will do what I want.

When you put in the Facebook like code, change the liked URL from the website to your Facebook page.
