Is it possible to somehow configure Tor to use USA-based proxies only? If not, does anyone know of another multi-proxy program out there that's any good?
essential_clix I'm not sure if this method still works with the latest version of Tor or not, but this is how we did it a few months ago. These exit nodes are old too so you'll have to go through the tor map yourself and find new ones. The following causes tor to ONLY use the listed exit nodes even though the rest of the route still gets bounced around various nodes. This worked (slowly tho) for doing CL a while back.
The following goes at the very very bottom of the torrc file...
StrictExitNodes 1
ExitNodes nixnix,moria1,moria2,inap1,torxmission,augrime,err,sasquatch,foundry,peertechdata,whistlersmother,ieditconfiggg333,BostonUCompSci,lefkada,agrippator,moria5,bettyboop,MrRelay,A1D7DB57EFA57ACA20,Butterfly,myrnaloy,jalopy,cjb,torftw,ArikaYumemiya,redpineapple,stugsDOTcom,MasterMindZ,random,AscendedDaniel,Trusno1,mushin,Unnamed,Insytez,pickaproxy,illuminata,anduin,NOYB,vwglobaltoadcom,codemonkeysorg,hyperfocusedTOR,WeAreAHedge
Hope this helps!
There are multi-proxy programs out there. I can't tell you them off hand, there is a good firefox plugin (can't remember the name) that switches proxies for you that isn't TOR related. You can use Access Diver which is a free script and there are several others that tell you where your proxy is from. You can try Charon which is a favorite in the proxy circles, I can't vouch for it since I haven't used it in about a year. I like Access Diver because I've been using it for about 5 years off and on.
