I need a VA to automate something for me, I'm concerned that VA's may steal methods, is there any way of ensuring confidentiality when revealing information to VA's?
And where can i find these confidential and preferably cheap (<5$ / hr)?

Thanks

I won't steal anything, Available EST 8AM to 6PM, PM me for details, Available 7 days a week.

Don't do it. There is very high chance VA would steal your method, especially if its lucrative one. If someone is ready to work for low wage, it means he is in desperate position. Its just human nature. Why would he earn you money if he can earn for himself. If there is way to ensure VA cant replicate method because of a few missing pieces maybe, if not, forget about it.

Hey, I could really use an answer to this too. I researched some of the bigger VA companies but they are too expensive or require more hours each month than I need.

hello i am also looking for virtual assistant work. I can work at cheap rate.. and all the tasks and info i would make sure that it will be confidential between both of us and never leak outside.
You have to trust on a virtual assistant that make sure he is honest to the work..

Hey tckc, could you name some of those companies?
Thank you

This idea is like drinking sea water. Seems like a solution, but ull regret it very soon.

Hello, how are you? PM the details of your project.

I have a profile in freelancer.com with my real identity, maybe if you hire me or you want hire other people you need to have some guarantee, for example, if you hire somebody in freelancer and then if this person break your confidential agreement, you can "destroy" him profile with the feedback in the end of the project.

Or here, you can "destroy" this person in the shit list.

If for you is very important this confidential thing, find the way that you can have a guarantee like I said you.

Hi! We can create a non-compete agreement. Kindly contact me through skype. I dont know yet what tasks you want to be done, but i am sure we can work something out.

You might have to hire 2 people.

Give them enough so that they can help you, but not enough so that they can do without you. Find a way to half the method between 2 VAs. Or pay someone to make a bot?

The words Confidential and Cheap dont really go together lol

Sure, some of the bigger companies I looked at are Zirtual, Task Bullet, and Lifebushido. You can also look on Upwork and reach out to the people individually. The deal with these bigger companies is that you purchase a certain number of hours per month, starting around 20 hours. The price per hour gets cheaper the more you purchase.

I personally need something more intermittent than that. I like to write my own content but doing all the research is killing me.

Thanks to everyone who has inboxed me and offered their services. Let me get together a list of the work I need and I will be in touch with some of you.

Little update and thanks for all the PM's I'm still considering all my options currently, I need someone very fluent in English , spelling and grammar are important... if you have a profile on a freelancer website then that's brownie points too.
Will be replying to all pms as soon as I can

I agree with some of the suggestions here. Divide tasks between 2-3 VA's or non-disclosure non-compete agreement.
Most VA are probably happy with doing 4-5 hour job and spend the rest of their time with families or hobbies etc.
Most of them probably don't have the motivation to maintain their own business or just clueless even with all the tools and guide provided.
