About 6 weeks i put a website online, i wrote a lot of original content without expecting any visitors or adsense revenues the first 3 months, somehow a moderator from a well known website in the same niche liked one of my articles and shared it so i got 14k visitors the next 2 days. Yesterday i said: what if someone copied my content to his website? so i checked Google and indeed i found the exact article on 5 sites :(. So i picked the first one and checked all posts one by one, none of them are originals, not even spinned, he simply copy/paste from famous websites and seems not giving a damn about copyright issues, he's doing this since 8 months when his shit went live, and guess what... he's getting 5k visitors daily and about 45$ according to hypestat.

I also checked the other websites and they seem to be performing well in terms of attracting traffic, although some of them look awful to the eye.

Not to mention that this situation is making me see black chickens dancing around my head, i'm starting to wonder that maybe copying content isn't that bad after all, maybe the easy way will give me better results. All i need is Google's love, and Google appears to be tolerant with stealing content.

They will catch him sooner or later. #1 Rule of SEO, don't copy peoples stuff.
You wouldn't happen to be related to a guy named Pewep, would you?

If your entire article was copied, you can either sue him or file a DMCA complaint. If your article included images that you own the copyright to, then I suggest the former to teach him a lesson, although if you're not feeling particularly litigious at the moment, the DMCA complaint will suffice.

I did reported him to Google but this is not the important thing, i feel bad because he ranks with stolen content when others are working all the day to make their content unique.

    Google is vast
If all people involved in making unique content only
and dont give time to investigate primary things & filling DMCA,etc forms
    then these days are long

I am sorry, that is unfortunate. you could try to contact the admin asking to remove the content or else you might take legal action. You never know, he could possibly not be a total douche (although highly unlikely).

Alright, this is the list of the websites from which he copied articles:
    arstechnica
    techspy
    pcworld
I don't think the guys working for these sites care less about their articles, plus i emailed him and posted a comment on the article he copied, never emailed me back and the comment got deleted :01:

Contact the other webmasters, alert them of his thievery, and tell them to DMCA blast him all at once. You'll gain new friends and contacts through this and he'll hopefully have his website penalised.

Edit: Nevermind, it looks like he's mostly stealing from major websites. Still, contact the smaller website owner's and let them know.

I happened to laugh a little at this.

But OP, don't copy content - simply just focus on your site and ignore the copycats :)
