I want to create a yahoo email account and an aol email account. I don't want to spend $20 on a new line and another $20 on a used phone off craigslist. If I buy a temporary number from those websites that sell a phone number for a like a dollar, how can I be sure that whoever is in control of that website won't try to do a password recovery and hack my account? After I create the account, can I remove the number and make it impossible to recover username and password via sms?
