Concerning Niche Domain Purchase...

I've been making some keyword research in several niches and sub niches, and I have found this niche that although has a very high competition, the most "obvious" domain is still free, and I would like some opinion/advice if I should purchase such a domain, and how could I monetize it (considering I have only an average knowledge about this specific niche).





The niche in question is the very first keyword at the top, and as I mentioned the most obvious domains are all free, I won't share the niche for obvious reasons but let's just say this is like finding that makemoneyonline.com was free with respect to the make money niche.

With this data, what would your advice be on both the purchase and monetization of this domain(s)?

I say get it, build a relevant site with relevant info, and watch the money come in - if there is a CPA product that would work with the niche, use that. If there is a clickbank product, write a review and use that. build links, check the competitions stats and links, do everything 5 times bigger and better than they are doing.

The competition is really good, there are actually 2 youtube alike sites dedicated to this niche, something which I obviously cannot top with my limited budget and technical skills.

buy the domain quickly if you haven't doing it yet, put a blog on it and start to make handwritten post once or twice a week.
trade some link with revelant site on the niche and in few month you'll the 2 tube site for this keyword

I wouldn't do BH with a such good domain.

Run the keyword through Market Samurai. Find out what the competition is. If you can't appear on the first page of Google, then you've wasted your time.

If the domain name that he search is free, there is two choice :
1) his competitors haven't well focus this keyword
2) his competitors sucks in SEO

In any cases he can own them easily for this keyword

I made a major mistake, when I was checking if the domain was free, I merely typed in the domain in the browser and since I got server error, I assumed it was free, the domain has in fact a owner but he hasn't used it for a long time.

Since the domain is already in use I can share that it was japanesemusic.com

Was this a good and profitable example of a domain or not really?

Anyway, if this specific domain was actually free, how would you guys monetize it?

This looks like it would be a tough climb. You ain't gettin' on the front page of Google anytime soon. Even though you ARE getting shit piles of searches, you'd be fighting PR4's all the way up.
