For domains? Internetbs is my preferred at the moment, more than 25 domains with them at the moment.

I spread them out across providers who offer private whois.

I went ahead and got a domain from 1and1, thanks!

It was live on the net within an hour or so. My domains from name.com are instantly live so the delay is not that bad but it can be avoided elsewhere.
