I just bought scrapebox and my current computer sucks. I want to build a new one it runs flawlessly.

I want the computer to be able to stay cool. My room temperature is normally 30 degrees Celsius. I want to be able to run programs like SB and other basic programs perfectly. I'm not a gamer.

Which Processor runs smoother, DOESNT OVERHEAT AND LASTS LONG
AMD Phenom X6 or Intel i7 ( my budget is $300 for CPU)
RAM ( Not sure how much I need but I'm getting DDR3 RAM)
Motherboard?
Graphics card?
Hard Drive? A cheap 60 gig or 120g solidstate HD?
Windows*** 32 bit or 64 bit? W7 home, enterprise or ultimate?
Case and cooling?

No CPU is going to overheat unless you overclock it these days. I wouldn't really worry about it. An i7 920, 4GB of RAM, and any motherboard that you find that supports the processor would be fine. A solidstate hard drive is a little overkill, and isn't worth the extra space you exchange for speed. Windows 7 64-Bit is what you want, it doesn't really matter what version of it you get. As for cases, just check out Newegg (if you're from the US) and pick any case that appeals to you.

Well since you already have the things you want. Just find a Mobo that will be compatible with your selected hardware. Gfx card doesnt matter if your not a gamer. Just get something cheap. I would get a SSD HD though. Get at least 4 gigs of RAM.

So are you guys saying i7 is a better choice then the AMD Phenom x6?

And 4 gigs of ram with 64 bit Windows 7 is good? Or should I get 8 gigs of ram?

Please recommend and builds you may have for me

I downloaded realtemp to check my current temperature on my PC.
With a load of 17% my minimum temperature was 38 and max was 48 degrees C.

8 GB ram is better than 4 GB. I saw someone posted they were running 64GB RAM - rock and roll!

Maybe you should build it on there, but not buy it.

Theres a bunch of overhead cost that they will pass on to you. As all hardware is pretty much plug and play now, I would just build it on your own.

You can always cool your CPU by a antifreeze coolant system. Looks pretty cool to with a see thru case

If you're buying a new computer just to run scrapebox you probably won't need anything too special. What's going to limit how fast you run scrapebox will probably be your proxies unless you wanna spend $100+ a month on them.

Any new computer will work fine for what you need. Get one with some sort of pentium core 2 duo, 4GB or more RAM, and a 64 bit version of Windows 7. If you have any $$$ left over invest in some sort of graphics card, doesn't have to be anything special.

Well if I buy a new computer can I use my old crappy computer to host SB?

My current speed with my ISP is 5 mbps and I'm in Canada.
