i started youtube about a week ago and i hope how im doing it is completely whitehat..

i know youtube+adsense is really slow money especially to start off with but my question is...

is there a way to make a completely whitehat channel(s) without uploading my original content?

i dont want even a tiny chance that id get a copyright strike.

someone help please

thanks in advance, jordan

If the video has the creative commons license, you can reupload it, but I'm unsure if you can monetize it.

Otherwise, unless you buy the rights to reupload the video, no, you can't reupload it.

Some white-hat channels exist where they buy the rights to reupload a video. They'll prey on YouTubers who post videos with the potential to go viral, contact them and offer them $200-300 to purchase the rights to the video, and then reupload the video to their channel. With a deep enough pocket, you could do that.

The only other alternative I can think of is making your own videos and finding a way to scale video creation to make it fast. Though this almost always leads to shitty videos/content.

as described i think the most popular ways are creative commons and public domain, for the creative commons it's preferably to edit videos just by adding intro or something like that, and then you have right to monitize them !!

but be careful, even if you find a creative commons in youtube it's not always available to reuse, because there are people who stole licensed content and make it under creative commons licence, you need to search if the uploader is the original content owner or not, if it is go for it, if not move on !!

this is why a lote of people may tell you that you can't monitize creative commons videos ! Good Luck

If you are re-uploading videos then it isn't white hat buddy! Unless you are the true owner of something, it's not a white hat. Even if you are personalizing a creative commons license video before upload, you might get caught later. It's better to work a little more on your own videos to earn in the long run.

thanks for all the replies!

the only types of licenses youtube has is 'youtube standard license' and 'creative commons'
ive done plenty of research and theres 6 different creative commons license BUT youtube only has the 'CC-BY' type and thats the most open type.

CC-BY creative commons license means i can 're-use, even commercially' so i can re-use it and i can do so commercially.. which means surely i can upload it with youtubes video editor and monetize it?

i do also check that it is the original uploader so no problems there.

im struggling to find a fault with this method??

use relevant tags (no duplicates, e.g iphone | iphone 6 |iphone 5)

surely if im not breaking youtube's TOS (or adsense TOS) then im not breaking no rules therefore whitehat channel?

please tell me if im missing something and being a noob lol

thanks, jordan

Using other people's content and still be legit. Well, you could do Reaction Videos....lol ;D
