Hello,

so this will be short. Not sure about the sub-forum I should put it.

Long story short the situation is:

I published an article a few months ago and the content quality wasn't the best.

This article eventually ranked top 3 and is now getting decent traffic but not converting enough due to the poor content.

What did I do? I completely changed the article, yes it is still on the same topic and all but it is completely new, written from scratch.

Why am I posting this? Well, because I was wondering if completely changing the article will impact negatively on my rankings.

Did it? No it didn't. I completely changed 2 articles, google re-cached them an all and everything is the same, my rankings didn't move all, still in top 3.

If someone is in the same position, maybe this thread can help.

Cheers

So did this help you get some conversions

Yes it did, as the new article was much better and luckily conversions followed.

Updating content or rewriting the old content is always a boosting thing to the website.

I think it base on "visitors time spend on your new article" and "your CTR" compare with your old article
