Hello i have a questions years ago its possible to bee completly anonymous online ??

I find Tor for Firefox but i read its not safe 100% , also the VPN i think they hide the IP Address only!

Its possibile to bee anonymously on Internet?

My answer is : NO

what do you think ??

You might want to disable java and javascript for extra anonymity. Use series of proxies and use a tunnel software such as Proxifier to avoid IP leak. Even your computer time will reveal your identity.

EDIT: Yes, you can't be anonymous completely and everything I mentioned above are some techniques to get your ass covered for some extent.

No one can be fully anonymous, have various top e-crime leaders have found. People like 'Anonymous', 'Lulzsec' and they guy that was running Silk Road all found the hard way. There's no way they would of been doing what they were doing if they thought they would be found. They thought they were of the radar.

In essence, you can have 999 VPN's, proxies, hiders etc. but the police/FBI are ALWAYS one step ahead. If they want to find you, they will. Or may have done already and just biding their time...


*This isn't to say you're doing anything illegal, but again, even if you aren't, if someone wants to find you enough, they can.
 
As you can hide your identity as the polilice can discover you. We're speaking about informatic and there is nothing magic in this. So no one is 100% covered but if you hide your identity to create few account on a site no one is interested in discover your identity. If you're scammer the situation is a bit different

So to bee anonymously on the web, you need to pay !

But when you use VPN or hacked Wifi with and also Live Linux distro or on wifi point (center) , i believe that this doesnt mean you are anonymously from the service provider or police but only from the "normal" people or "website"
 
Complete anonymity is a myth.
But VPN+Tor or VPN + i2p with a properly configured browser will make you anonymous enough.
 
If it is, I don't think people who are able to do it will waste their time answering such questions on public forums.

Sounds good, except that Tor was developed by the US government.

even you find a tweaks to hide your self they always find a way too to find you that's it accept the reality no one can change this

i think because doesnt exit any method to be completly anonymous in this web!

SO the Premium VPN its not to be you anonymous from the Police or other government companies but only from the "normal" website and "user" !!

I've been waiting for someone to bring that up. I used to use tor sometime around 2003 for content scraping so that I didn't have to deal with maintaining a list of proxies, but I wasn't exactly concerned about the gov't giving a sh*t about some guy pulling a handful of sentences from a bunch of useless blogs. Wouldn't trust it beyond that, though.
 
the first issue is, "what are you doing?" if it's boosting songs and movies then you can probably hide behind proxy servers and open wi-fi. if you're selling gov. secrets on an ongoing basis then you probably will get caught.

it's not just the 'net connection that you need to worry about, you need to focus on the things that you're doing that leave traces - receiving payments can be hard to conceal. locations can also give you away...

you may want to look into the "petraeus scandal" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petraeus_scandal) for more. the fbi traced the "anonymous" emails to hotels
and then checked each hotel's registry book. the same name was in all the books so it wasn't hard to figure out who was sending the emails.

keep in mind the internet was made by the gov. and was never meant to be private!
 
The effective way to maintain anonymity is to establish pseudonym IDs at the points where an ID is detectable. Use the pseudonyms in addition to the anonymous pathways, and the agents of Mordor will likely only be able to trace you to that pseudonym. At the very least, they will be forced to DIG to find you, or else get real court orders and follow real legal due process to access your records. No fishing expeditions. The point is to deny them "click a mouse, there you are" instant access to your info without legal process or probable cause.
 
Well not an expert but pretty sure if you use this: Jondonym, runs through 3 mixes (proxies) encrypted.

That service over vpn on jondofox browser is pretty dam close 100% anonymity, if I am wrong please explain, like to learn. Cheers

No you can not,

The thing about VPN's is that you have to try and find a truely no logs one, trust me I have searched and searched and their arn't truely that many. That's how alot of people get caught is that the VPN"s do log and you have to dig through the terms of service to find that.

Next cookies, You can get around this alittle with CCleaner

Next your computer, Your computer name everything can track you, there are programs that will randomize the computer name every reboot. Then there is your system clock and other information again there are some programs out that will randomize for you. Mac Address etc....

Tor, has taken a massive hit from the FBI and them hacking the network basically watching infecting exit nodes.

If you wanna be anoynoums the really only way to do it is to have a cheap almost burner laptop and even then depending on your needs you have to be careful. If you get of craigslist then you have to be careful not to use your phone name email etc... Then go to starbucks or wherever connect to public wifi do your deeds then trash the laptop. I had bought like 8 old laptops off craigslist for like $50 with wifi.
