Complete YouTube Redesign (Cosmic Panda)

I don't really like the lock scroll effect on videos...ya know what I mean? I like being able to scroll down without seeing the video...

Doesn't matter I guess, I'm not making money with YouTube anyway. ;)

Youtube was fine before now they are going to replace it with this crap? All that youtube needed to do was make the video icons bigger and include thumbs up and thumbs down next to the videos and it would have been perfect, now they are going to replace it with this CRRRRAP?? CRAP CRAP CRAPPITY CRAP CRAP.
 
its like hulu - isnt the rumor goog wants hulu since they have so many in season contracts?

Yep. Contracts with some major players and they take them away from Microsoft. Although I'm not a big fan of Microsoft, I'm glad they appear to be starting to challenge Google.

Microsoft and Facebook vs Google = Good things for us
 
I don't like how channels dont seem to play a big part; looks like they completely erased channel views :confused:
 
Channels are the worst part of the update, my channel looked nice and was easy to navigate for organized playlists etc and the videos could be played right on the page..

Looks like youtube has their hands full, OP should have posted this thread as a poll to see who likes the new "cosmic panda" look and who doesn't like it.

this will kill youtube. its so bad.
and it seems that facebook is going to launch an video based website so basicly youtube will be killed in one round if they launch this design|


everyone PLEASE, open the "FEEDBACK" bar on left side and fullfill a text saying that this new layout looks so wrong and that it will kill the site , if everyone does this they might dont implement it.

the only thing i like on it is the logo new design wich is similar to old one but more red-ferrari , and the new black player.
ps: poor partners , they lose their branding options such as banners etc ahah

Yeah, channels look messy. I don't like how partners lost their branding issues, & i really don't like how they got rid of channel views.
 
For those who say you can't change it back. Go back to youtube.com/cosmicpanda and press "older version" It will change everything back.
 
Youtube seems that they do their feedback based if the user go back to the old design, or stay on the new design (they did the same on the last changes and they mentioned this on a video), if every returns to the old design after the see the new one they will most likely see that no one likes this.
In my opinion they should pickup this design and transform on a new video site and run two sites, wich is youtube, and that new site.
 
What about we start like a revolution on youtube?
We make a pretty decent message explaining that they can fucking keep the video player and the header like that, but to dont mess with the main channels design (even because they removed things like video auto play, channel views, channel comments etc.)
If we start copy pasting a pretty decent message on every youtube video that talks about cosmic panda and teel to other people share on other videos, youtube might notice that they are losing users if they change to this design.
 
Probably not a bad idea. I noticed they even got rid of adding people as friends. There'd hardly be a point to the channel anymore. Barely any different than the video page now.
 
Someone could start a fanpage, and a youtube video about a cosmic panda petition and link could be spread around everyone liking the fanpage and giving the petition video a thumbs up and commenting it. Then we can bring the links to their attention via feedback, hell we could link them to this thread if we wanted if they aren't lurking it now for feedback which I wouldn't be surprised.

linking them to a blackhat forum wich have tons of tricks and programs etc about black hat on youtube is not a good idea eheh. but i like the fanpage idea.
I think if we pretty much put a comment saying why they shouldnt do it on every video that talks about cosmic panda this will start like a revolution by itself.
 
It will mess up the Views providing business

I'll need some in august so if someone will still be able to provide some let me know :D
