Hi,
I received an email from my domain registrar informing me that the company xxx has filed a complaint with ICANN and wants to take over my domain. In the submitted claim, they refer to the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy. The registrar is asking whether to provide them with my contact email.
Indeed, my domain contains a word associated with the name of a popular social media platform, but it is empty and leads nowhere.
I know that the law is on the side of those who have more money for lawyers, but this seems like too much. I paid for this domain, and I believe I also have some rights to it.
If they are now trying to confiscate it, why did ICANN allow its registration in the first place?
Should I respond to such emails or ignore them?
I don't care about this domain, but I'm curious about what they can do.
Thanks in advance.
