I've been checking out my competitors backlinks, and was curious how I go about on 'stealing' it from them. Would this be considered, WH, or BH, if I simply just posted my link.

If you can add a backlink just do it. Hard to imagine why would you call it stealing.

It is WH. If you've done it and it stay for more than 1 month, your competitor is not wary of the status of their backlinks.

You'll not 'steal', you'll just make a SIMILAR link profile.
PS IT's better to combine 2-3 competitors' profiles to do not make it too similar.

Everyone does this nothing black hat in that. Major competitors are always looking for and are present in almost all platform used by their competitors.

If you are not doing anything unethical. You are just building your profile it should be fine I guess.

Its not stealing, basically all your doing is checking where they have got their backlinks from and getting backlinks from the same places. Its been going on for years. What i have found is that there are usually only a few that can be copied anyway, from directories etc

let say you are my competitor, when i check your website and found you have a link from twitter.

then i signup to twitter make a link back to my site, i only copy what you have done. not stealing
