I have been researching a new competitors backlinks and can see over 30,000 backlinks from an ad network.
Basically the network has a number of huge forums all of which are scraped content and don't have real members. Each forum has thousands of pages and you get a banner ad on every page do-follow.
My competitor has 2 WP based websites in my niche and both are ranking well, one on the first page of google for my desired keyword. They have PR 0 and are only a couple of months old.
I am considering joining the network to get the same BL as my competitor. They charge you per $10 per 1000 impressions or $4 per 200 clicks.
I cannot post the Ad network here due to BHW rules.
Would you consider these type of backlinks as they seem to be working for the competitor now with 30,000+ links? Or would you concentrate on building quality high value links instead?
Is anyone using one of these type of networks and what results are you getting?
