Competitors attacking fellow B-S-T owners

Thats why bst owners should send out a few samples to people they choose before hand making sure they are non competitors and speak the truth. I wish the mods would write a little more descriptive review on services besides just "service approved" half the time this just leaves me wondering okay so its approved but nothing more to say?? Maybe create a review comitee for the bst section containing 3 members who test the users service and leave full reviews, obviously they should probably be mods only on the comitee.

Hehe, is TMW an alternative for Sherlock? Just messin around

Y not just press the report button? I think it is now a rule to not post in the BST threads if you are not a customer, or don't have a review or something.

Thats the problem. It wasn't in the B-S-T. Instead the offensive posts were spread throughout the lounge. And the user in question has some offensive stuff on his user title. I'm not sure how Id report a user title :D

Just press report or contact a mod. It's pointless having a half conversation/half riddle about it in the lounge.

Lounge? what do you mean? Its in the forum suggestions and feedback section.

How do I go about pressing report on someone's user title? And I have purposely not revealed the user as he may consider it as a personal attack. Its better to have a few good ideas before one proceeds.

More forum drama is seriously the last thing we need right now. If you see something that is definitely against forum rules, use the report button. If you see something that might be against forum rules, contact a staff member and see what they say. As davids355 said, it's absolutely pointless having a half conversation/half riddle about this in the feedback.

Like I said, I am not definite of whether it is against the rules o not. Which is why I opened the thread in the first place. Nevertheless, I have contacted staff. Lets see what they have to say about it.

Think the emphasis is fairly self explanatory...

It is annoying but unless they are saying anything untrue about their competitors
or making false claims about their own then it's really nothing more then smart marketing.
While I agree it isn't untrue, the way the person goes about it doesn't seem like smart marketing. Seems childish and petty, like there is some personal issue between them. I would never buy someone's service with him or her acting that way. If a competitor is having problems, with lots of them being posted by customers, and you respond by piling on.. doesn't say much about your service. I want to know why it is better, not why your competitor is worse.

That could just be me though.

This happen to us few times. When i posted yahoo answers some fellows reported them and all are deleted. This happened several times . They used to come on skype and asked for samples and they used to report the answers to yahoo . Shame on them .

Guess he is trying to be a bit sarcastic on his user title.

Rules make rules make rules. IMO BST should have contacted Mod/s if he/she is concerned.

I've seen his title and to me it just seems like a bit of harmless sarcasm.

Worth bringing up though RushingWind.

You know another forum that stops BST's being commented on unless its positives...

warrior forum... just saying...

thats a poor idea, if they paid for the service they are allowed to say what they want, if they own a BST or not.

If they do it poorly and people can see its BS its more damaging to them than good anyway...

To be brutally honest this kind of practice has been around since the dark ages... "that guys carrots crow due to witchcraft, buy mine!" It's really just part of salesmanship... the newest version being Neg. Rep. attacks on domains.

The worst thing you could do is implement a way to only add positive posts/comments plus if that guys BST is any good, it will withstand a cheap slander attack anyway!
