Competitor Google Sponsor ads killing

• Set up some solid IPs (Proxy 5, Residencial) with anti-detection browsers and manually target competitor-sponsored ads to kill their ad budget. In the early days, I heard these were worked.
• Do these still work?
• Or Any other method?
