Competitor Clicking on my ads!

I am always logged on to my Zopim software to provide support to my Potential customers, trying to answer all of their Pre-Sales queries. So from some days, i have noticed some visitors asking me BS and they visiting again and again. I am in India and i am advertising in Canada. is it possible that if someone in India can use some proxy or some VPN/VPS stuff to change his Ip to that of Canada and then click on my ads? Will adwords count those clicks as well? For now, i have already Excluded India as the country of advertisement in Adwords. Please help me. I am paying like 8-10 USD per click on my keywords. These rats are stealing my money like this.

Some guys did that to me and you can't control who's clicking your ads because I can't seem to find any option to block a particular ip if there is an abnormally excessively clicking. However, you can exclude the territories in which you want to advertise. To reduce your cost per click, make the destination url of your ad campaign be a specific page within your site and not your main url. Because that specific page should contain rich keywords that are closely related to the keywords that you are bidding. You can do well with broad keywords provided that you will be using a huge list of negative keywords to use. Bidding on exact search KW will cost you a lot.

You can bring down the cost of your click if you well optimize your ad campaign because you really can't stop those people from clicking your ads no matter what you do.

Also, avoid bidding on peak hours because the cost per click of your ads will increase between 2-5%.

This is based on a personal observation... Please do try to experiment to lower your cpc..

Unfortunately, you cannot find out who clicks your ad, as Google obviously wont reveal it. There are softwares out there that function as click bots where they connect with different proxy each time and click your ads automatically. If it's a bot pattern, you can easily avoid its false clicks by finding out when all those clicks happen, I mean what hour. You can view this in Adowrds >> Dimension >> Time >> Hour of the Day

If you see a pattern that persist itself each day, for ex, 400 more clicks every day at 00:00, you're likely to be spammed so just prevent your campaign from appearing at this hour etc.

Yes it is possible that they're using a proxy in Canada. Google does detect fraudulent clicks but it seems to be most strict on third party network ads where they have to pay out commissions.

you need some one to manage your account .

do not go for money keyword direct (it is always priced high ) first try some good long tails.
then after some time when you will have experience then go and rock with money keyword.

i got more QUALITY traffic with less cpc longtails.

Thanks all for your help. I have Zopim chat software installed on the Site for my visitors and whenever i get any visitor it shows me Live. Their country, IP address is shown with my chat software. I added those repeating IPs in IP Exclusion option in Adwords! It kinda helped me as well.
