Competitor blasting my site

Best Option Would be Disavow those links via google websmaster i guess

@ assphuck : dont blame G blame people who use google as search engine.
seo is not only about Google.
you can otimize your page and rank on yahoo search or Bing, but instead we talk only about Big G because people use it......
anyway those days big G plays the music and we dance on that rythm.

@ leena: u cant burn all the sites on first page just cuz of some dumb blasting you with bad links, it will bring up 3rd page non seo sites to page 1 and you automatically screwed kinda 20 sites.

observe, be patient, use disavow if your site have not any kind of black hat seo, if it have just go for quality links and ask the page owners to remove their links to you.

maybe u have to disallow google bot crawling you until you are done......

Anyway the choice is yours, i wish you good luck on whatever you decide.

Leobar.

I suggest you just forgot it about this matter your competitor giving you free backlink just enjoy :) oneday they will be tired they can't hurt your site simply you can submit those url link in webmaster tools and notice google will be remove the link permanently.

Going to submit site today in webmaster tools and add those spam domains in disavow tool.

If you can drop your competition in 2 weeks just do it. They would definitely do it to you if they could. It's all about business and making money nothing to do with any morals.

Dont focus on removing that links. Disallow is not magic tool... it cant protect anyone from negative seo. Google like negative seo because more people may buy adwords.

I would suggest quality link bulding campaign to balance bad links, keep ratio of higher and lower quality links. Web 2.0s, doc sharing, videos with backlinks to your site etc. Sure you can try disallow but dont rely on it.

Just blast all competitiors. You get hit, hit the other; rinse and repeat :D:D

THIS ISNT NEGATIVE SEO!

unless you are trying to rank for those terms who cares? Negative SEO is blasting millions of shit blog/forum links using ONE keyword. (the keyword you want them to not rank for anymore)

someone could blast tons of links with the kw of *bull shit cocky poo* and it wont affect you. unless you are trying to rank for that word.

I was just hit recently by a 500k+ link blast. Extremely painful to disavow because the links just trickle in. I got hit with pretty hard SERP drop but it will be months before I can even have a chance at recovery. I think I know who it is, and might be back from some payback. Anyone experienced with negative SEO? Do you just blast them with one millions links with the exact same anchor word?

What a shame.
Ever heard of churn and burn sites? ;)

One thing about disavow...if you are already doing blackhat SEO then adding site to WMT and Disavow may attract unwanted attention.

interesting, now Not only competitor will do neg seo :D

IMHO, if you have a good link profile, you will not be affected by low quality links that doesnt even related to your site..

that's right. i have one site with very small number of bls and some twat blasted it with links such as asian girls, amateur sex etc- no change in rankings ( still no.1 for main keyword)

Good for you, but I don't believe this to be the case for everyone. I am getting hit with negative SEO right now, our site is a PR5, 10 years old, and we got unnatural links penalty. all rankings dropped.

Turn that site into an 18+ website, then say 'thank you' to them?

All jokes aside, just remove the bad backlinks via webmasters tools - if that doesn't work purchase a new domain and 301.

Matt Cutts, if you or your cronies are reading this thread and I know you are, you need to address this mess that you created with the new Google algorithm created! Do you really want the Internet to be awash in negative SEO?

Can a boatload of nofollow links work towards negative seo? Do they do anything to your rankings?
Finding a lot of blog comment spam but a lot is nofollow.
