What can a competitor do to destroy the rank of a website in Google? I heard that creating too many backlinks/or creating adult/casino backlinks can destroy a website - Is it true? if yes, then how can it be fixed?
What are the other tricks and fix for those?

You don't need to worry, negative SEO doesn't work anymore.

you probably got an eureka of lofty dreams because someone wants to engage you to do some dirty seo job for few dollars, i doubt they are your sites as you wouldnt want to do that since they are not doing it to you, you dont need it
 
Does this mean I shouldn't worry about being stupid some time ago and buying 1000 backlinks from Fiverr for $5?
 
Some may try this Negative SEO trick to hit their competitors.
But that doesnt work anymore, you don't have to worry about it!!

Does it mean that creating massive backlinks is not risky nowadays? For example:
1- There was a time backlink from a blacklisted PBN(we never know when a PBN is blacklisted) was killing a website ranking - Is it not valid now? Can I have as many PBN and Scrapebox comment backlinks?
2- I have a friend whose website was in the top 5 in Google in 2016; he was creating backlinks from Scrapebox and used many PBNs. His website lost rank, and even in 2023, he is not even top 500 in Google. So, something has damaged SEO ranking.

Can you provide any reference or course link so I can learn more on it?

It does work , but still my these types of links are done by bot so they does not crawl and already blacklisted .
 
someone did this to one of my sites, it doesn't work anymore though. The links are most no follow anyway.
