Competitor Analysis

Hello Friends,

Is there any way to analysis competitors beyond normal terms (backlinks , keyword density, meta data,
website coding, website design, forms etc.).

I had analyzed many websites for single keyword. Some websites don't have enough backlinks and keyword density, good content but those rank high than others.

I though I might miss some specific factors except mentioned above of competitor analysis. so please share some free tools and thoughts.
