Competitor analysis - need some help.

Not entirely sure if the thread is in the right sub-forum. If not please move at your discretion.

Currently i am preparing an online shop for CBD products in Switzerland, to be sold physically but only in Switzerland (due to Law and Regulation).

Upon doing competitor analysis with my limited tools (KWFinder Serpchecker - Free version) i see that it is really easy to rank and none of my competitors are actually ranking for big content. So my Nr 1 Strategy is to write accompanying blog with loads of medical articles that contain my keywords and link over to my shop to pass the juice if/when i rank.

Now, when I go to check the Link/backlink part i do see that they dont really have lots of backlinks, or links in general (some facebook links tho). However, i think this is where my tool and free version is limiting me hard.

Is someone here that has access to a premium tool and could help a brother out? I am kneedeep with investment into inventory and getting all the govt. approvals (its frikkin crazy!! getting all laboratory tests etc) - and i cant really afford premium membership with any of the tools. But even if i had it as i am quite the newb i wouldnt know how to read properly anyway.

I dont really have a problem posting the keywords here - There is loads of onlineshops that sell already and you need to physically need to be in Switzerland to do this.

Keywords are in German:

cbd onlineshop
cbd online kaufen
cbd kaufen schweiz

These are the moneyterms. The Nr 1 Rank - greenpassion.ch (who i know personally btw) has lots of social signals and some other 140 links (lots of directories). I guess it can't be hard to beat them or the others in the SERP's?

Thanks for reading and your help @Topiano , really appreciate. Again since i have limited understanding, can you have a look and tell me where i could focus on linkbuilding or anything that pops into your eye? The way i understand if i build around 200-300 links i should be fine. Its hard getting contextual and relevant backlinks for my niche but ill try to score some german hemp quality links.

Use Ahref, Semrush, And kwfinder !

im currently using kwfinder serpfeature and semrush. but i have to wait for crawler credit again im greatly limited in semrush.

Use ahrefs and similarweb. Look for patterns.

The only one with any competition as i see it is greenpassion. currently ranked nr 1. hes got some shitty 400 links from non related sources (some 40 or even less domains/subnets i think).

greeners got about 8000 links of which i guess alot are social signals.

my strategy will be to buy some social signals here on BHW, plus spread my facebook page in my friends and family cirle. i will use the facebook coupon to promote some of my posts and target some local folks.

i already prepared about 15 web 2.0. letting them age right now. in a few weeks i will start building links to them.
