Hey guys, I’m running PPC campaigns and noticed something weird. Even when I raise my bids, my competitor still keeps showing above my ads almost all the time.
Quality score and targeting look fine from my side, so I’m confused what’s actually giving them the edge.
Has anyone faced this before or knows what I should check?

Check your Ad Assets to ensure they are fully populated and relevant, and audit your Landing Page Speed/UX; even with high bids, Google will favor the competitor if their site provides a significantly better mobile experience or matches the user's contextual intent more closely.

are you using the same targeting as your competitor or is it slightly different in some way

Even if you raise bids, competitors can still stay above you because Google also considers quality score, ad relevance, CTR and landing page experience. Higher bids alone are not enough to get top position.

higher bid is not enough, google also prefer ads that get better clicks and match user search more closely, so competitor can stay above even with lower bid.

A lot depends on your advertiser. Every advertiser processes your traffic differently

I ran a couple of affiliate programs; one in Netherlands had a 10% conversion rate, while the other had 2–3%.
