Hello guys... Let's say you are in a competitive niche and after writing 20 blog post with low competition keywords you can't find any other low competition keywords in that sub niche and your site is still new you have no authority. And it's always said that you should focus on a specific topic and then broaden after you have authority and the site is aged. You cannot go for competitive keywords because you can't compete with bigger site .What can you do about it

you've picked the wrong niche then. You want niches with 1000s of keywords that you can write about, not niches with 20 keywords lol. I never bothered with niches that had less than 200-300 keywords that I could create content around, unless I was really into that niche so badly that I didn't give a shit if I ranked or not....

But anyway, at this point you can either abandon the site, or target competitive terms and build links. I don't see other options

There is something I've learned from Koray Gubur( Holistic seo).

He says that Google is eager for information. Even though there might not be search volume for it, if you can provide more information about a subject, detailed information with facts that can be proven with reliable sources, then your topical authority will increase on this subject no matter if there is search volume or not.

In practice here is what I advise. All this is based on the assumption that you're working on a local business website and you're looking to outrank your competitor by first increasing youe topical authority and second, building links :
- Try to see if from your written articles, there are questions that may arise and to which you can provide a factual and reliable answer. Make a list and create new articles to answers those questions
- It is not because the keyword is competitive that you should not write a content about it, even though you may not rank very high for it, you'll increase your topical authority with it. By properly using internal linking you may be surprised that you'll be ranking for some secondary keywords that you never expected. That's still a win.

Those are what I can think about for now, if I have a new Idea, I'll definitely come back to enrich my answer.
